Was there ever a listing published of the awards given out at the Nashville convention. (I may have missed it.)

A nice lady wrote me about a 72 Datsun 240Z that her husband had before he passed away. She would like to get it out of her garage and see it go to someone that needs the parts. The body shows a lot of typical rust in the lower sections... the car hasn't ran since the mid 80's. Nonetheless, based on the pictures she sent - it looks like there are a lot of good parts on a pretty stock example. http://dayton.craigslist.org/cto/2019811509.html The above URL works - but for some unknown reason, if you search Craigslist - the Ad. doesn't show up yet. If you are doing a refresh/restore - it is really helpful to have a good parts-car handy. Lots of nuts/bolts/washers that can be…

The code is 'P20'. I needed a new head light so I went online and this code popped up before the regular header appeared. It works with no minimum as long as you don't purchase an oil change special. I went ahead and picked up some other items for later (Sta-bil). Pretty neat to have it bagged up at the store for pick-up an hour later.

So, I got my 260z, and I love it. Runs great, but I want to swap out motors for a LS1, etc. Here's my problem. I'm going to med school soon and don't have time to delve into a huge project. I have two options: 1. Start the project anyway 2. Store the car Now here's the catch, if I store the car, I want it to remain dry and in good running condition for 4 years. Is that going to happen? If I start the project, I need to paint the entire car inside and out and get the rust spots taken care of first. I plan on painting by myself. How long is it to prep the car for taking the body off and then taking the body off? I have a dilemma, a serious dilemma. Help!

Does anyone have a lens for a 240 map light? My assembly is good but the lens broke. Would be happy to buy, or trade if I have anything you may need. Thanks, Randy

What's the original "hose style" for the 240Z fuel hoses that are under the hood (hoses going from fuel rail to carbs, fuel filter to rail, etc)? I was pretty sure that mine were original, and they are not braided. I saw some on e-bay that were braided so I am now questioning. My hoses do not appear to be an off the shelf rubber fuel hose. The hoses on my car seem to be almost like some rubber coated cloth material style. Are these original? The EGR hose is made of the same material. Were the original ones braided? TIA, Rich

Hi everyone, This link below: http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/cto/1997498243.html might be a great buy for someone who wants a parts car or doesn't mind repairing/replacing rusted floor panels and possibly a bad frame rail. I'm going to look at it this afternoon after work. Owner says the engine turns over but it won't start. It's been sitting in a garage since 1992. As mentioned, needs floor pans and probably a frame rail, but the body and glass and interior (and probably the drive train) are in good shape. I don't have a place to keep it other than having the storage place that's got my existing car add it to the collection, so if someone is interested, go for …

I love my Z, but I'm always looking through Craigslist, Ebay, Penny Saver, etc looking for a Z bargain. This week I spotted a 260 (74-1/2). It's in the process of being restored and is about 85% complete. The owner has lost interest in the project. The body is straight, it appears to be rust free (frame rails & floor boards are new, no rust under the battery) and most of the parts needed to complete it are there. The car has recent paint, but I think I'd have it resprayed. The flat tops have been replaced with round tops and it has a 5 speed tranny. With a little effort I could have this car done. Here's the thing, I've never been a fan of the 260. I don't like the wa…
