A z31 friend asked me to measure the hatch or the hatch glass of my car. It was a real hectic day all around and I forgot to get the measurements. Now my car is gone so I can't do it. Anybody want to help out?

Stainless steel bumpers for 240Zs? Good idea or not, I don't know but have considered this option for quite some time. A re-chrome on my bumpers would be expensive also and I still have a bad taste in my mouth from the last batch I had done. (Poor prepwork, missing parts, etc.), but thats another story. Also I like the look without the overriders and this would eliminate the need to fill the holes before a re-chrome. There have been a few suppliers with stainless offerings and they look good. The sellers have respectable feedback, but this most recent seller, seems to be new as an S30 supplier. Just looking for opinions of this product, as my finger has been hovering ove…

Alas.. still no work out here.. going broke... can't pay mortgage.. so the Zcar has to go. So.. it's a '78 280z, HLS30-468771, with 109910 original miles. It's all there, I believe.. almost everything works very well... even the factory A/C. Has a split sunroof with passenger side missing. I made a replacement out of Plexiglass and sealed it, but it has a similar appearance to the glass side. I replaced the timing gear and chain recently, as well as a head gasket, no leaks. Still burning a little oil.. probably the valve seals that I didn't have the patience or tools to redo. All the interior gadgets still work, gauges, flip-down map light, clock, etc. It's got g…

Hi, this is a serious question. I will be buying a RH S1 by next spring. If you were going to sell your car, what would your selling price be? I want a very good to excellent original car, no irreversible mods. Green or lime would be a plus. I am just trying to get a ballpark number. Thanks - Rick

I spent the day stripping my parts car and thought it might be easier to get the suspension and steering off if it were upside down. Steve

Another car claiming to be a 1969 production car is on ebay now http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220665695095&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT. It says it is #00525 (HLS30-00525 I assume). It looks like there are several 1969 production HLS30 cars with VINs in the low 500's on zhome.com, so I guess that is possible. It looks like it has many aftermarket and parts from later cars on it. I thought the weird shift handle looked like it belonged on an automatic, but the seller says it has a 5 speed. Too bad the seller doesn't say anything about being numbers matching or show any engine bay pics or potential rust areas. -Mike

Is it possible to mount a headlamp at angle? When I put in the high beams, the bright spot goes up and to the left, say about 11 o'clock, which would definitely blind oncoming traffic. According to aiming documents I've read, the bright spot should just go straight up, as it does in my daily car. I think all I would need to do is turn the lamps a little to correct the aim, but is it possible? thxZ

Hello everyone, I'm fairly new to this site and to Z cars. I have been on the hunt for a 240z for many years and have finally found one. Its a 1971 with 105,000 miles on the clock. Its all original except for the exterior colour. The car is originally white but has been painted (903 blue?) at some point in time. I assume the previous owner wanted the car to match the blue interior? I plan on doing a full restoration but until then I wanted to make the car a little more presentable and clean up the engine and engine bay. I have some before and after pictures of the engine and engine bay I would like to share with you guys. In regards to the motor, I removed the A/C system…
