I have to come to evidence that with all the good care I gave them since I owned my Z, the desert climate is making its toll...........mostly on the driver's side. It is mostly dry and hard. Who make the best reproductions and are they a pain to replace? Which interior moldings have to be removed to do the job? Is there a particular profile for the 72 Z and do they snap on place or need to be glued?

E-mailed the TV show "Top Gear" the other day, suggesting they do a show or sequence of stories on classic sports cars from the 60's and 70's. This was the time when sports cars were in their hey-day. I thought it would be interesting to hear the host’s impressions after test driving some of these older classics. Older cars like our Z's have less horsepower than most modern performance cars, but I think there is more of a visceral connection between, car driver and road. And now we wait... More requests just might get the show producer's attention. Anybody else want to contact them?

Hi everyone, Well, the body shop guy told me he wanted to have my car done by next friday. Obviously, I am not holding my breath as he has told me this before! But, on the off chance that he may actually follow through with this, I need to find a way to get the car from Lexington KY to Indianapolis IN. Its only about a 3 hour drive but I would rather not rent a uhaul truck and trailer. Does anyone have any recommendations for hauling companies? I would like an enclosed trailer for the obvious reason as the car has a new paint job and don't want rock chips or bugs all over it. Thanks. carl

Ever since I owned a Z I wondered what the slot next to the choke lever was intended for. I hate having open slots and switch covers in cars, but I couldn't figure out this one. After 27 years my question was finally answered. I was clicking through Kats' website and noticed his photo of his 240Z with the throttle lever installed. That's a nice little feature, plus it fills an empty slot. Has anyone added the throttle lever to their car? Since it wasn't offered in North America, I doubt that the parts are available, but that doesn't mean that one can't be fashioned. It wouldn't be much of a stretch to get a second choke assembly and simply screen the throttle icon onto it.…

Was at the boat yard and a green 73' Z parked near the chandlery. When the owner returned, we chatted for a bit. Very nice guy. The car needs new bumpers and a new interior. but the suspension & engine have been redone. It has an L28 w/ SU's that sounded really nice. Seemed like a very solid car. Told the owner about this site and suggested he check it out.

Been running the original radiator for the past 17 yrs. Absolutely no problems, but I'm a little apprehensive about the drive to Nashville from C. Fla. at the end of July. So, I bit the bullet and got a new aluminum radiator from MSA. Looks good; and I filled it up just now and let it get up to temp. All looks good; no leaks, weeps or any other bad stuff. I think I'm about ready for the convention. Just an oil change and a chassis lube to go.

After buying this car about 2 and a half years ago for 300 buckaziods and puting in about 500 including towing, here is my car, tons of work to do including rust removal and turning it back to it's original yellow, but it runs great (with rear end clunk)!

Well, like the title says.................... Finally got the plates and registration and had her maiden voyage yesterday. What a blast! That bears repeating and amplifying.... What a frigging blast! Must have caused a couple near accidents and a dozen cases of whiplash. It got to be an incredibly fun game counting the number of heads that snapped around when I passed in the Z. You just don't see any on the road around here from all the winter road salt and the rust monster. I thought the 'A' tranny monkey-motion would be a lot worse to shift but quickly got the knack and it's not too bad. I can live with it for now. Wound it out to around 5K and got an initial clou…
