Well, like the title says.................... Finally got the plates and registration and had her maiden voyage yesterday. What a blast! That bears repeating and amplifying.... What a frigging blast! Must have caused a couple near accidents and a dozen cases of whiplash. It got to be an incredibly fun game counting the number of heads that snapped around when I passed in the Z. You just don't see any on the road around here from all the winter road salt and the rust monster. I thought the 'A' tranny monkey-motion would be a lot worse to shift but quickly got the knack and it's not too bad. I can live with it for now. Wound it out to around 5K and got an initial clou…

:classic:Getting closer, hopefully only another few weeks and I'll be out on the road. My cousin who owns serveral MG's and a Bug Eye sprite came over this evening and helped get the SU's tuned in as best we could with open headers on the car. I'm still waiting on a few panels from the body shop, and a replacement seat cover for the one I ordered that had the stiching comming out of it. And I of course still need an exhaust and new side mirrors for the car. Pictures so far through the Journey. http://s756.photobucket.com/albums/xx206/wvmiata/ Oh and I didn't take the car for a spin as it sits in the picture to see how quick it goes under acceleration. Of course if I di…

Sprinting from red light to red in the choked suburbs is fun for about 10 minutes, then it's old. The weather this morning was looking good: Temp around 75, sun was out, roads clean and dry. Time to leave the red lights behind. I can be in the agricultural lands in about 15 minutes from the house, and there's a road that passes by Brazos Bend State Park that's blessed with smooth, even pavement and these gorgeous sweeping, banked turns. The visibility is good; you can usually see what's on the other side of the curve. So as the car hunkers into the curve and road banks up you feel like you're locked in a groove, then you slingshot out, exhaust howling that inline-6 …

A local guy is selling this. Does MSA or anyone still carry these?

I heard at the other night that MSA plans to have a scaled back event this year. I just checked out their webpage and found no news what so ever on this year's event. I guess lean times have hit our friends at MSA as well. Anyone got any information? I have been to many events over the years and have seen this show grow in leaps and bounds. Participation has been great so I don't think it is scaled back for that reason. Any news would be great.

I have converted to the Civic wiper motor and somewhere I found the link to somebodies wiring diagram using a relay that made it so all functions of the motor worked (off, interminent, low and high plus washers). They would work but only once in awhile. I thought I finally found my problem and was putting it back together when now all I have is the washers and high. I can hear the factory relay (the one that the interminent and low runs through) cycling (clicking about every 8-10 sec). I can't get it to do anything else. I think the factory relay has given up the ghost. Is there someone out there that has an additional wiring diagram that by-passes the factory relay…

not sure where to put this thread, and I apologize in advance for this going into a Z forum, but it seems that I have enjoyed getting to know so many people here, and what I have learned is that there are some VERY knowledgeable people here on topics that span more than Z cars. A good buddy of mine is thinking of getting a 73 TR6 as a project, and I wanted to know if anybody here has any advice on this particular car. Again, sorry to pollute the Z forums

Another low vin up for grabs. This one's not on zhomes list. Odd tail light set-up, strange tailpipe curve & 4 barrel carb, but the price ain't bad. http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/cto/1704761280.html

I did a search and didnt find any posts about this ebay vendor so I thought I would give credit where credit is due. I needed sway bar and steering rack bushings and a steering coupler but didn't need the complete Energy kit so I turned to ebay to find them. I searched for the sway bar bushings first because I have a performance sway bar that requires 15/16ths I.D. bushings with a 1.5 in. height that would fit my brackets and figured they would be difficult to get. I found zpartshouse on ebay and searched around his store. First thing I noticed was his 100% feedback profile with around 3300 positives. I found some 15/16ths ID bushings for a Mustang so I emailed the se…
