I have an early 1974 260Z, smaller shock bumpers and the parking lights are under the bumper like the 240Z. I am the original owner, I bought this car in San Diego in 1973 shortly after my honorable discharge from the Navy. I loved this car, so glad I kept it. It sat in my garage undriven for about 15 years. In 2020 I noticed how these early Z's were becoming desirable and valuable. I'm near the end of restoring it, just need the interior done. Here is the big question to those who know the difference between the variations of the S30. I am missing the interior rear quarter panels from my early 260Z. I have asked the Zstore, Zcardepot and others what panels would …

Discovered my stock 2-groove harmonic balancer has a hairline crack. So I’m in the market for a replacement, and figured it might be nice to lose some weight. This one can be used as a single groove, or a double groove by bolting on the extra pulley. Is anyone running one of these? Any issues with installation? https://zcardepot.com/products/harmonic-balancer-damper-240z-260z-280z?_pos=7&_sid=c63d68427&_ss=r

Although I'm constantly tinkering with my '74 260z, I find it very rewarding when I make a discovery, learn to do something new, or fix a system that I never knew how to fix. I definitely spend more time under the hood than in the driver seat. I was reminded of how enjoyable it is working on this Z today when my 10-yr-old Chevy Volt stopped recharging and I had to take it to a dealer. My OBD II scanner could not read hybrid codes because I needed the $5K unit to read the recharger module codes. The dealer charged me $180 to start diagnosing the problem then told me to continue trouble shooting the problem I needed to give them $700 more. The cause of the problem was …

While i took the bumpers off I found this attached on the left inner side of the front bumper with the spare key inside. I have seen a pic of this in the 280z car parts manual. Cannot find it at this time. If someone has it can you post the link to it? Thanks.

So, I have a 6/71 Z and have determined that it should have the cool keys... You know, the ones with round heads and painted black. Any of you hoarders (meant in a nice way 😀) willing to part with your original key blanks? Come on... You know you will never, ever actually need them. It will go to a very good new home 🙏 ... at Christmas 🎄 too. This key blank: Fat groove on bottom when key is pointing to the right. Thanks for looking.

I have reproduced the seat belt tags for the 1969 240Z we are restoring and if anyone else is interested please let me know. This is going to be a one time run as it is very difficult and time consuming to make. The material and print is as close to the original. I will custom stamp the month per order, once trimmed, I will heat treat the edges to reduce from fraying. First time offered here and sharing to CZC members, price for 4 tags per set is $100US, additional $30 each per tag, shipping will be FREE. I will wait a few days who are interested so I know how many months to stamp. So far i'm going to stamp 9 and 12. Once it dries out here, whatever l…

https://www.wescoperformance.com/noname.html As others have suggested on this forum, I’m getting ready to Pull the trigger on the Wesco 3 point roadster kit to replace my worn out OE belts. My question is, do I need to purchase their $9.95 hardware kit as well? I have all my OE hardware from my original belts. Is that enough? They show this little L-bracket in their hardware kit. Did anyone find that necessary to use? See pic…

I have a used set of early 240 hub caps. Pretty sound, but with the inevitable faded and scratched paint, and bubbling chrome. I'd like to have them refinished, but with the metal being as thin as it is I'm wondering if a re-chroming will any way affect the spring quality of the tabs that connect to the wheels? Anyone been there and done that? Thanks
