I just got a 240z about 8 months ago during the summer. I put a l28 in and it has something like 36k original miles. I am only a Junior in High school and of coarse I have to think all the possibilities of the car. I'm sure some people know of the manga called "Wangan Midnight". I don't plan to put those fender flares, but someday with either this car or another 240z if i get one in the future I would like to bore out the engine to 3.1 and add a twin turbo. I doubt i'll have the skills for awhile to even remotely do any of the work all i've learned so far is taking off fuel injection and adding carbs and small stuff but how much would something like that cost including a …

New to the forum and fairly new to the technical aspects of Z cars. I owned one 25 years ago and I'm now about to hit my midlife crisis with another! However, some of the technical lingo used here I'm not quite understanding: whats a mustache bar? Whats a S30? Every car forum has it's own language, I'm just trying to catch up on it here. On the Corvair board I frequent you see and hear, rtfm, Read the F$$$*^& manual. ggg grins, GGG big grin. and little red plastic thingy which is an ancillary electrical connector GM placed under the hood. What are some of the more ambiguous terms that may be used here??

I'm about ready to update the Datsun Z Paint Code Gallery on zhome.com http://zhome.com/History/ZColorGallary/index.html I still need 216 White, 304 Gold Metallic (may have one coming - waiting for email), 306 Silver Metallic, 362 Dark Purple Metallic, and 517 Beige - all 260Z/280Z colors. Better pics of ones already in the gallery are welcome too. Photos of Z's with original paint preferred but good resprays will work too. If you have one please attach it in this thread and I will add it with the other updates. THanks. Michael

I am taking my Z to a track day here hosted by the local Lotus club. Looking forward to finally letting her stretch her legs. I have bled all the brakes and slave cylinder. Installed new shoes in the drums and checked to be sure I have good pad left on front. The car is idling and running fine, pulls great, and is really in pretty darn fine shape. I want to go push it a bit and see how she goes, but I was looking for any advice. I am an old school autocrosser, and have done that to death, but never any high speed track day stuff. This will be my first. I will be filming it all with my new GoPro wide angled in car camera for your viewing entertainment. Any adv…

Has anyone tried out the Eastwood Tin-Zinc Plating kit? I got one after plating some hose clamps using a friend's kit. The clamps came out nice, and looked almost as good as new. I tried it myself on a intake vacuum fitting, and it wasn't as shiney; maybe I didn't use enough brake cleaner and it wasn't clean enough. I would like to ask people who have used it successfully for tips. I was planning on plating screw heads, hose clamps and all those rusty water fittings after de-rusting. thxZ
