http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230439703487&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT I just sent a question to the seller to make sure the car is in southern california. Any reason why I shouldn't toss a bid on the table? Anyone here on the board competing for it? Any opinions on what it's really worth? *edit* Oh well, outbid before I even started =)

It's in our classifieds section, it's the one below. If it's as nice as the owner says, I may be picking up my first Z car. http://www.classiczcars.com/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=4643&cat=1

Hey guys, Does anyone have photos of the different wires and where they connect for a series 1 240z in regards to the engine bay only. I am taking the rest of the week off to work on the Z and have no idea or schematics on where to begin the hook-ups. Basically just the wires on the passenger side as the entire harness comes out of the firewall, some are pretty obvious but others I have no clue. Also it has electronic ignition so if you have any advice on this connection please let me know. Here's a few pictures I took today, I should have taken photos of the wires but forgot. Thanks for any assistance, and with any luck can get her started on Friday.

Anyone buying the aftermarket crank bolt from MSA needs to pay attention. I built a new modified L28 motor several months back. Everything new....everthing including the heavy duty crank bolt! It was shaved and shimmed, Isky Stage III.....no expense spared. It ran beautiful with some nice gitty-up. One problem.....between 1600 and 3000 rpm it had a chain type noise. I pulled the new engine down to try to find the problem......the crank sprocket had loosened the woodruff key. No problem, must be a bad crank since all is new. New Nissan crank pulley, new bronze worm gear, seals etc. etc. So I installed a new crank.....Everything new....new Nissan crank pulley, new heavy dut…

This is just a curiosity, I want to get some feedback from those who own v8 z-cars. I've been lectured by some very stubborn old-schoolers at work who are absolutely certain that a v8 in a z-car requires a tube frame and all kinds of custom work to make the car their own perception of drivable. For the record, none of these people have ever owned a z of any kind, most of them are the die-hard "Go America" types who scoff at anything that doesn't bear a Ford, Chevy or Mopar emblem (and of course they hate the other two of those respective names depending on which they own), and most of them are fans of either circle track and/or drag strip racing. I'm just curious as to …

We (the shop) has misplaced the door handle linkage that activates opening the door from the outside. I have looked every where for that small linkage piece but can't seem to find it. Any ideas on who may carry it. Also, I tried unsuccesfully to atttach the one linkage I do have but could never get it installed. Surley I don't have to remove the window to get the rubber stop into the hole......(does that make sense). If I attach the linkage to the handle first it's too long to get it to go into the receiver end. If I try after the handle is installed I can't get it to push into the handle end..... Any help would be appreciated. For refrence here is a picture, I need …

Former California car now located in the Phoenix area for only $1,500.00. Anyone familiar with the now defunct 'Zs Unlimited' in San Luis Obisbo, California? http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/pts/1602285573.html I picked this car up several years ago with the intent to restore it back to the original ITS race spec. It belonged to Z's Unlimited in San Luis Obisbo, CA - it had a turbo tom's motor set up in it and it was a track car. The motor blew and it was parked. Z's Unlimited is long since gone, but the car is a time capsule. It has been under tarps and car covers for at least 2 decades. There are no cracks in the dash board and the car has never been in an accident. …

Just went to look at this 72 today. Rolling chassis, 280zx rear disc brakes & upgraded fronts, 16" panasports with new tires, Tokico springs, whole chassis has been coated and/or painted. Almost 100% rust free body, little places on the primer need to be touched up and some surface rust removed. Rear hatch deck has already been replaced. Dash is cracked, and one seat is tearing, but the carpets are brand new (boxed up) and all the other bits are with the car. Door handles have been shaved, car has solenoids. Not sure I like that... Unfortunately, the cost of finishing the body work (properly) and finding the engine/transmission/driveshaft to get her back to life a…

I am restoring a 71 240z. This weekend I am going to look at a 260z for potential used parts for my 71 240z. Since I am in Iowa and finding these cars for parts is almost impossible around here, here is my question..... Which parts aren't usable?

Title says it all, lets see what the most has been paid (world wide) for a Zed. Any version and subsequent derivites of the S30. This includes any rebuilds, re motored, custom etc, as long as it holds the body shape. Mike
