Hey everyone, I was busy at work, surfing ebay as usual. as found this really neat slotted mag key chain. Its all aluminum and looks just like the real thing. I think its 10 bucks so its not cheap but thought it was pretty cool. I think the guy also makes them as refrigerator magnets. I don't have any connection with this person but wanted to show everyone. I may break down and get one. Have a great day people! carl

I figure that Nissan built approximately 18,000 or so series one 240Zs from 10/69 to 1/71. 40 years later, how many do you all think are still on the road today? How many 1970s? How many 1971s? Hey, it's December. Just thought I would get some different conversation going!

My wife and I are planning a road trip to San Diego in mid-March. We have a wedding and associated social duties to attend to on the 12th and 13th, but plan on being in the area for a few days either side of those two days. Is there anything going on during that time, like a club meeting or event that I could barge in on? I'm planning on visiting the Datsun Heritage Museum, too! Frank

Hello all I've read a number of threads here about installing cruise control on a 280z. Does anyone have any thoughts on which one to go with and pictures of how it looks. I'm interested as I'll be making a fairly long distance drive this summer so I'm doing a bit of planning ahead Thanks Jan

Anybody planning on going to this? I'll be there. Was debating on which Z to take. Will most likely take the 70 only 'cause it needs to be taken out for a run. She's getting a little antsy. Hopefully I can pick up a nice drivers side fender there for my 71Z. My current one has a rust hole in the base (bondo'd now) and I'd like to replace before painting. Plan is to paint the 71 Z similar to the color shown on the Z below. The car show is people's choice (which I hate:sick:). Nice event to socialize at though. Good way to start 2010. Rich

I bought my Blue 280Z back in May of 2002 so I'ved owned her for 7 yrs. now and I can't believe I never noticed this before. I had her out today and parked in the bright sun this afternoon and it was shining bright under the car so I poked my head underneith in front of the rear wheels and I freaked. No, its NOT RUST I found that freaked me out, it was the fact that I saw that either the previous owner or the shipping Co. that brought it up to me in MN. had really smacked the underside good. Frame rails in front of the rear wheels are dented and there is a spot on the drivers side where the floor is dented (behind drivers seat area) Reason I never took notice till now is…

Im interrested in buying a Datun 280z and have found a relatively cheap one, a 1977, that seems like it would be a nice match for me. It was a bit before my time but i have heard that buying a car around '76 or '77 can be a bad idea. I heard that because the smog regulations were much more strict strict than before, cars of the era had problems with the ability to reduce smog and lacked horse power to comply with the new regulations. The car that i found does indeed pass smog regulations in California, but i was wondering where datsun fits in this issue and if there is anything i should watch out for/ find out before buying a car from this time? Thanks

I've been researching and reading the posts about various security systems for our Z cars. Just wondering if anyone has come across any new or updated ideas/systems? Thanks!

I have finally started to take #1905 apart. Just in the first day, I came across a few parts that I have not seen before and/or read about here on classic. So I guess I can add some kind of timeline or history on our Z cars. A recap, this car is a 2/1970 car all original down to the sparkplugs dated in 69. First item is a shield that is on both seats. I heard there is no part number for this part and I wasn't sure what we really call it? Also these hooks that are on the seats, are there two versions of these? Second item is a "solid chrome Z" on the pillar emblem. Top one is from my #1905 car and the bottom from a 6/70 car I parted a few months ago...both metal. …
