Any suggestion where to get a 2010 calendar with various model Zeds? Hard copy is preferred but also interested in soft copy to load on my PC.

Here's the deal... I'm ready to sell my orange 240Z because I need the money. I bought this 240Z about two years ago. It ran great and I love the car but I have to let go of it now. Here is the current status: Like all these 240Z's the clock in the dash didn't work. I bought a new clock and took some of the dash out to install it. The weather got extremely cold so thought I'd pick it up when the weather got warmer. It sat for about 6 months and when I came to start it it wouldn't start. Turns out I needed a new fuel pump. Replaced that and the car started perfectly. The problem is when I go to put it in gear it won't shift in to first. My dad said it's proba…

I have a late240z (7/73 production date so I assume it is a 3 wire) with a tach that runs way fast. Does anyone know definitively which other years will fit my car without modification? Thanks.

I do a lot of flying around the world, and while it has lost its romance it does still provide a lot of time to read. I picked up the November issue of Thoroughbred & Classic Cars (a UK publication where most of the cars have the steering wheel on the wrong side) and buried in the middle of the magazine is a really nice article on a 70' 240. Looks like both their appreciation and values for the Z over in the UK is on the rise. As it notes in the article, "there's a strong market for such cars now that the old snobbery against Japanese cars is subsiding as a new generation finds out for itself just how special the 240Z is". ***This is for my 2 sided '74 key with the grooves to the left.*** After researching for quite some time, I found that the only key blanks still available (without spending an arm and half a leg) with "Nissan Motors" on them that would work for me are these. Then, I sent a PM to a guy I know on another forum who is a professional locksmith. He works in a shop that has been in business for over 50 years, so he said he would look for some originals (2 sided, grooves to the left, "Nissan Motors" and the "N/Z"). He couldn't find any, so he did some research. He said that the ones pictured above differ slightly in the millings' location and size when compared to the corre…

Here are the pics: http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2706209730063370706pYwjLL The front rad support is bent (not THAT bad, but it made the fan get stuck till I discovered it). Other then that.. Pass. headlight is cracked, headlight buckets, fenders, hood, grille, bumper, turn signal lense and housing, front valance, and the front wings for the hood and bumper.. I took care of the insurance stuff and they are working out an estimate and if they will total it or not. Look at some of the pics on the beginning pages to see the rust areas and let me know what you think. At this point I am some what considering flying to california and driving one home.. Just looking for so…

I came across a non-Z owner who found mint condition literature consisting of original window sticker, original warranty card, original bill of sale and original owners manual for HLS30-00517? What do you think this is worth to a serious Series 1 owner?

I have the opportunity to pick up a parts car for what would seem to be a very reasonable $1000. It is a '72, complete except for hubcaps, but it has an automatic transmission. (My car is a '71 - 4 speed manual). There are some parts on it I'd like - a crack free dash, a nice heater control panel. The inspection doors for battery and windshield washer access, the hood and the driver's side door all appear as though they would require less prep for painting than the parts on my car. On the down side, besides the car being an automatic, the left rear taillight is broken out and there is rust at the bottom of both front fenders. The seats and interior panels are in some…

I was reading about a 280 distributor/GM coil etc combo to upgrade my 240 to electronic ignition... Is this the "best", the "easiest" or the only, way to go? I'd like to get rid of the points system if it's not a BIG DEAL to do so. (I need to buy a new coil anyway since my 240 came without one! And I'll be buying full tune up parts too, so now seems to be a good time to do it "better") Any info would be appreciated... Mark

I want to say a public Thank You to a fellow Canadian member who responded to my inquiry after searching for so many months for a piece of original inner hatch weatherstrip. It is the exact same profile and in perfect condition. My greatest appreciation to this member for his assistance (he knows who he is) in a very hard research to restore a not produced/reproduced anymore original weatherstrip profile for a never restored original car. I am happy I will be able to restore the original one from the welding joints at the threshold of the hatch. This community has something good......perseverance........ somebody will listen to help you about something out of common sense…

Well, after searching for a while I finally picked up a '73 240. The body is about as unmolsted as I have seen-the sound of metal everywhere you tap, and the interior is in great shape. Even the friggin clock works. It has a N42 block w/N47 head but the original 4 speed. I have short term plans to dial it in, and then long term plans for mild building. So here are my questions: 1) Tach is off-it shows much higher than actual rpms. Can I remove the tach from the rear or does the dash have to come off? 2) Any trick to bleeding the brakes, or can I just drain the lines? 3) (Longer term) Can I just put a P79 on the existing block with flat top pistons, or is the the F54…
