If anyone has a series 1 steering wheel with horn button let me know. I am getting close to starting on the interior of the 70 model and need a wheel and horn button. Any condition is fine, as I was planning on refinishing it anyway. Let me know and at what price. Thanks, Randy

The Water Temperature Switch on my '75 280Z checks no continuity at any state, hot or cold and needs replaced. The only one I find is at the Z store for a 74 260Z. Will it work??

Hello. As its been roughly three months since my last oil change I'm planning on doing one here in the next week or two. I don't mean to start another "oil" thread but I'm wondering if I should use a heavier grade oil. At the moment I'm using Castrol GTX 10W40 with a Fram XG filter. I was debating going to 20W50 Valvoline VR1 oil as I've read on a number of threads that Z's like Zinc. What is your opinion on this change? I don't like synthetics as I change my oil way too often to be spending so much money on. (I do it every 3K or 3 months.. I guess that would be the old school way). I live in Tucson so the temp here rarely drops below 30 in the winter and in the summer …

Hello all I've been a proud owner of a 1976 280z for all of three months. In that time I've done a lot of work to get the car in better mechanical shape as it had some "issues". Anyhow I've been doing some short driving around town, (mainly to school and back) and was wondering how you guys drive your Z's? Where do you shift on the RPM range and sorts..basic driving habits. This question come about due to http://www.zspecialties.com/. Read their "driving tips" section and though...oh that's something new. I usually try to shift to fourth gear as soon as possible to keep the RPM's low while cruising. Any advise would be great Jan

The garage runneth over with Z's and my wife is fu%#*ng thrilled. Actually she will get her center spot back by night fall. Greg, I haven't forgot you, Rachael will be getting lots of attention very shortly. My car is the red z and my daughters is the ZXT. The yellow is a customer. Too many Z's and not enough time-I guess that's not all bad.

First, I have no affiliation with this car at all. Found it on ebay and it turns out it is in my home town. I'll have to go check it out. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Datsun-Z-Series_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem1c0d97e28eQQitemZ120487142030QQptZUSQ5fCarsQ5fTrucks Not sure how to turn it blue to make it a link. Worth taking a look though. Leonard

the seller is asking $250 with a lot of parts. Is somebody interested ? The car is located in Cummington, Mass. It has the inner hatch weatherstrip i am looking for a so long time. Many good body panels.......I could be interested by some tid bits. I should be interested to share the buying price with some members here if somebody is close enough from this location to pick up the car.

Hi all, I've been spreadsheeting the service records on my Z and am working on a section that will flag me when maintenance items come due. I've been setting the schedules according to the recommendations in the Warranty and Service Booklet. Unfortunately those recommendations are 30 yr old. Things have changed in that time -- oil chemistries, coolant chemistries, hydraulic fluids, rubber formulations. Even what we "know" about essential things like motor oils has changed. Give all that, would anyone care to suggest updated service schedules for the following items? Per the Warranty and Service Booklet: plugs (15,000 mi / 1 year) brake fluid (15,000 mi/ 1 year) oil/f…

Got a new fuel damper part number 22675 N4205 a metal UNISIA JECS design. MSA said take the bolt off the old one and put on the new one hand tight. But the new one has a rubber plug in the hole where the bolt would go and the hole is smaller with no threads. Is the rubber plug a replacement for the bolt and will it hold the gas in as it seats pretty snug?

Poor No. 299. It would be a real challenge bringing this one back to life. I hate to see the earliest N. American cars in this state. Probably end up as a parts car for someone. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1969-Datsun-Nissan-240z-HLS30-00299_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ34229QQihZ019QQitemZ290195360803QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW
