Does any one sell a polished plate frame that has the datsun emblem on it at all?> I looked around on a few web pages but nothing ! But I did find just old dealer plates with dealer names on it but thats about it! any help ? If you wanna know what idea i'm thinking about I could draw it!

After 2 years now of owning my car and piddling on it here and there, I finally spent all day ripping into it and actaully had alot of fun doing it! Usually, when things dont go good I tend to get a little p!ssed off but I took it all in stride today, maybe I am maturing I started by removing the hideous '77 280 front bumper. The bolts came out easily enough, not much of any rust after 32 years. No penatrating oil needed. I went out this morning and bought a 21 gallon compressor and a couple inpact wrenches to make the job easier. Then off came the beat to hell lower front valance. I am doing a complete make over (as opposed to a true restoration) of my 72 240. I have a complete AC system from a 77 280z in a parts car. While I want this car to look stock, I also want it to be a reliable and enjoyable daily driver. I am asking for the pro's and con's of installing the AC into this car. I am assuming it isn't that complicated to R&R the pieces, I don't know how practical it really is or if more modern parts (the whole refrigerant issues) are the best bet. Any thoughts from anyone that has done this? Thanks, Leonard

Well, just picked up a 71 240Z for play. It will join my 70 in the garage and be my daily driver. HLS30-40147 is a 71 Z in decent shape (minor rust on panels), but has an L26 engine inside. This is quite a blast to drive. My son loves it. The L26 is hooked up to a 5 peed with short throw shifter. The suspension package is also nice as the car does a great job cornering. The interior is in great shape including the door panels which look to be original. I hate the seat and the steering wheel. Will most likely sell them on e-bay and put the original seat and steering wheel back on. The seat would be great if I was 5'8" or shorter, but I am well over 6 feet tall. …

There is a 1970 with a VIN of 06513 for sale nearby. Can anyone tell me if the carb set up is stock for this early of a car. As you can see by the photo there is no smog parts on it. It looks like a euro style balance tube. Was this standard for an early car in Canada? The owner says it has "very little rust" and wants $1250 for it. Dan

I have an original (NOS) muffler and recently I've seen a couple other NOS mufflers that are painted black. I'm guessing that these are ones that are either currently available thru Nissan or if NLA, were recently available. My question......Would the black ones be judged the same as the ones with the "original finish" at a National Convention show?
