Won't be able to pick it up for another 10 days, but will post pics after I get it home. This weekend I have to clean the garage to make space. It's certainly not perfect but mostly orginal. __Needs some minor body / bumper work, some seat covers and minor mechanicals. Just what I needed, another project when I have yet to finish my current Z ! __Actually, I plan to do the minor mechanical repairs and drive it while I finish the silver Z. Can't have too many Z's!

I'm wondering if 16x8 with an offset of 0 will fit a 280z. I might also put zg flares on it. What is the widest size rim before you need modification.

My 52 year old brother passed away yesterday from cancer. When he was diagnosed, he went out and bought his dream motorcycle and rode it up until 5 days ago. We had all got together to go to a concert about 100 miles away and he was insistent on riding his bike there with his best friend. Coming back from the show the next day, he (being medicated) nodded off at 65 mph into a tree filled ravine and walked away from it with a small cut on his head and ear, simply amazing. The bike did not fare as well. My mother called me and told me that the ins. company was going to total the bike. She told me my brother was planning on leaving me his motorcycle and she wanted to…

Please help!! I've had this prob for several years, so I will try to give an explanation and list of the things I've tried to remedy the problem. 78Z that is running great except after 20-30 mins of driving it will just stall for no apparent reason and at any speed or idle. After stalling it usually takes 15-20 mins to restart although it cranks fine. Fuel is clean and pressure is good. New air/flow meter, water temp sensor and connector, new injectors, all new vacuum lines. After it stalls, the spark plugs do fire. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Im going to post some of my work on the valve cover and carbs in this same thread, tooo lazy to start another one. This job Im doing is going slow because of time, but when I can, Work on the car. I have to sand with a 600 grid to make it look better, but as i said before time is a factor. Hope you like what you see. Thank You

The city of Vallejo Ca. let a select group of autocrossers run 4 annual events in their downtown. I shot this video for a show called Evening Magazine based in San Francisco. There are 2 Zs in there including National Champion Andy Craig on a rare off day.(Sorry Andy). Listen to his 14 to 1 compression L28. A trio of kick butt 510s are also in there.

This may be my first post, but I've been lurking for a while, soaking up all the info I can! I'm considering purchasing a 1978 280z. I'm really looking for a car I can drive and enjoy, I have a 2004 350Z that's my daily driver, and I've gotten the bug for an older one to have fun on the weekends with. The price will be a bit under $3000, and it needs tires, and a muffler, (and brake work, which I can do). which sounds reasonable to me, but maybe not to any of you?? Here are some of the flaws, etc I noticed when I went down to look at it. -It runs good, no smoke, hesitations, etc, and the 5 speed shifts firmly with no grinds or anything. It drives very well, but n…

I'm happy to say that my '73 has become more of a daily driver. Lately with temps in the 100+ I'm thinking of doing things to reduce interior heat. I'd appreciate any comments from others with similar efforts. I thought I'd start with some sound deadning stuff with insulation on top for the floor boards and stuffing insulation between those plastic body side panels and the body exterior. I notice that the gear shift lever gets really hot. Is that just conductive from the tranny and engine or is it from the exhaust pipe and hot air coming up the boot? I thought about wrapping the exhaust pipe and header but that invites rust. On newer cars I see nice heat shields …

Today, I received one from MSA. The part is a generic from Taiwan and not a right fit for the 70-72......supposed to be the same for 70-78....it is not true. Furthermore, it is garbage...... with holes in the corner sides and it shows clearly that it has been assembled from multiple parts. Please.......can somebody provide me with an option to have a "real" one or at least a part of it as I asked before? Here, we are supposed to be a club to help each others. It is not fair the administrators remove my previous posts when I am asking for assistance in a matter of support from members. If the rules are now "shut off" , don't ask for support with very specific hard to find …
