Today, I received one from MSA. The part is a generic from Taiwan and not a right fit for the 70-72......supposed to be the same for 70-78....it is not true. Furthermore, it is garbage...... with holes in the corner sides and it shows clearly that it has been assembled from multiple parts. Please.......can somebody provide me with an option to have a "real" one or at least a part of it as I asked before? Here, we are supposed to be a club to help each others. It is not fair the administrators remove my previous posts when I am asking for assistance in a matter of support from members. If the rules are now "shut off" , don't ask for support with very specific hard to find …

I bought a 72' 240z about 2 months ago. It is in great shape with no rust besides a little surface rust on the hood. The engine doesn't work yet, but when i was working on it. my friend noticed a little brown mouse jump out and under the transmission. Luckily there is like no mouse poop in the car, but that explained all the sunflower seeds in the car. I set up some traps, but i guess it's too smart to go for cheese or peanut-butter. The car had been kept in a garage for like 2 years before I bought it, and the amount of seeds in the car suggests it was there for at least a year, but there is like no mouse poop and electrical stuff has worked meaning the mouse hasn't chew…

I have an original 72' 240z radio. I'm pretty sure it works. If it does work, how much is it worth. I need to make money to fix up the engine of my car and get it running so some cash would help. thx -Chris

I recently purchased a 1973 240Z in Arizona and I plan on taking the car to the Dallas, Texas area. I need to put the emissions equipment that was removed from the car back on the engine. I am unsure whether all 1973 models have the EGR installed, or if the car has a California and Federal models. I have all the equipment from a 260Z with emissions that looks similar to the pictures in the 1973 Factory Service Manual. Any help or links is appreciated. Tim

ever since i bought my car i have had the same problem where if i tried going up too steep a hill or go too fast (anything above 60) the engine would start to cut out like it wasn't getting enough gas. i put a "new" set of carbs on it and checked out the filters and all seemed to be ok but the problem never stayed away long. Finally my father clamped off the return line to the front filter and for some reason it seems to be working. is there something that could be missing from the system because i know the car had been messed with by its previous owner and we could be missing something obvious.

List your closest Vin Twin ! Not only by number but color if possible. Here goes my twin, another Wine Red Metallic 1977 280Z HLS30-359763 10/76 My 77 280Z is HLS30-360104 10/76. Same build month! Link-> 1977 280Z Wine Red Metallic And this one has the same silver lower Valence panels as mine, what are the odds of that since that trim peice was dealer instaled. Is it also possible that all of the 341 Z cars between 359763 and 360104 were painted the same color as a single batch? I read hints of this before. Anyway, theres the closet Vin to mine to date, let alone a Twin ! PS, my friends 78's a look alike also. ~Z~

So I bought this the other day for 600. It definitely looks like $600, but the engine runs pretty well except for a minor miss when it idles. Hopefully soon it will start to look a bit nicer. I've done some under the hood maintenance and replaced some things in there, but mostly it needs a lot of body work, welding bits on and such. The guy I bought it from cut squares of rust out, and did his own DIY welding, as you can see in the pics. It's mostly on the rockers or sideboards. I'm getting some wheels off a 280zx this weekend, "Nazi" wheels, with new tires. It will eventually be the stock maroon color. I love it. A bit about me: I'm an 18 year old female, I go to UCF. …
