A used car dealer is selling a '71 240Z on craigslist. I checked it out. The body is very decent and has minimal rust (dime spot under right rear hatch, trace rust in some body grooves). Paint is oxidized but most likely salvagable. Minor bump to right front fender. Engine needs help, degreaser anyway. Choke not hooked up. Previous owner tried to incorporate the 'cruise control' throttle. Unfortunately the car has been sitting in the sun on his lot for the last two years. 1 crack in dash in the middle. Sad to see this go to waste like that. Also, car is most likely 153K miles based on tires, drivers seat and PO mods. http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/ctd/1221…

Hello everyone. I have a 77 280z. She's running fine right now, but I do notice that after a long drive and i park the car (lets say to run into the supermarket for 15 min) i come out to start the car and the temp is way high and she runs rough. In about 60 seconds after I start the engine she cools down to a moderate temp. For the most part, this is what i figure: Car is driven...engine heats up but while in motion or still running, the radiator is being cooled by the fan or air speed of driving. Once i stop, the engine is still hot, but the air speed is zero and the fan stops because the engine stops. This in turn heats up the water temp, hence the high reading when i g…

Hi Guys, I don't want to spam your forum or anything so if I am breaking any rules please let me know. In the July issue we test out four different 240Zs. Our 1970 240Z Street Car, a Improved Touring S car, an E Production car and a IMSA GT Vintage Racer. We are also dong a feature on Peter Brock's history and the 510 hot rod he built. Look for all the details in the August issue which should be on newstands soon and in subscribers hands right about now. You should be able to find the magazine at Barnes & Noble, Borders, or Books a Million. Or you can hop on our website and get a free trial issue. www.grassrootsmotorsports.com Let me know if you have any questions…

I know there are some folks who follow the vin numbers for these cars. Car #59995, a yellow 240z with an automatic is headed to the crusher very soon. What should I keep in storage or what does anyone need from a rolling chasis? (I have three 280's). Most of what is left I would ship to you pretty much for the cost of the freight, depending on how much time I have to spend getting it out. This car is head to the crusher by Fathers' Day. Any questions or suggestions on what I should keep around can be sent to Idaho.Kidd@yahoo.com Thanks!

Anyone know where I can find a printed '70 FSM? I know that there was a website a few years ago selling them (reprints) though I have been unable to find that site again nor anyone else selling these...have not even seen one on eBay in a long time.

Looks like a new feature, perhaps an RSS tie-in, but it sucks for those of use who use the New Posts link or the Active Threads section. IMHO

well the rust on my dads 72 has taken the car RIP I can only weld sooo much to to a almost gone hardly alive car! So do the 260's or 280's front frames hold up better or still the same amount of rust take them to the grave?
