Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has found or created a bike rack for a Z, more specifically a 280. I found the thread about the roof rack, but I was looking for the more common type that attaches in the back. I know it's easier when your car has a hitch, but has anyone made something work? I'd love to be able to throw a bike on the back every now and then. Thanks!

Hi, I'm new to the site and have been doing a lot of reading over the last few day about the Datsun Z cars. I am about to buy my first Z car and wanted to get a few critical question answered before i partake of the madness. I would like to buy a 240Z and use it as a dependable and fun daily driver. I realize that the Z cars have a tendency to rust and will require restoration. I intend to run the Stock engine for the now. I will be upgrading the breaks and the suspension in the near future. So here is my question to you Z car owners: I would like to know what is the costs involved with keeping these cars running? I have seen how much time, effort and money is required t…

I had to share a little story from the weekend. My dad and I (diseazd) decided to take the his 72 Z and my 72 510 for a bit of a joy ride. I called up a friend of mine who is building a 510 at a warehouse near the airport and he told us to stop by. The guy is a computer engineer and builds tuning systems with displays for all types of high po cars. He even does some govt work. I apologize in advance as I didn't have my camera with me for all this I will go back soon though I added a few cell photos. That's my dad sitting in the passenger seat When I pulled up I couldn't help but smile ear to ear. The first thing I notice in this mammoth space was a row of cars in one a…

What's the going price for a series 1 240z these days? The car I'm looking at is white, 4 speed manual, and the body appears to be a good condition. The only thing it needs to be in driving order is a wheel cylinder and a battery. The seller is asking $2000. Sound about right? It seems worth it to me. I haven't gone to see it in person yet, so I can't tell for sure.

I just got back from working several weeks in Brisbane, Australia. Here in the Houston area I rarely see a 240Z on the street. Last Sunday I took a couple of hours off work and went to the Coot-Tha Classic Car Hill Climb. On my way there, via a 15 minute cab ride, I spotted three 240Zs parked on the street and they all looked in great shape. Once I got to the hill climb event, I got to watch 3 different 240Zs participate in the event. They not only held their own, but one was in the top ten while even competing against indy style cars. Great to see the 240Zs so well represented; they appear to have a great appreciation for Zs in Australia. It still feels strange to …
