So I was down at the local dealer this weekend checking out the 370Z. I have to say that I like the looks of it. The way things work I should be able to afford a 2009 in 2045 when it is a 36 year old car just like the one I have now.

before i go into the details, i'd like to add this disclaimer: i have not reinstalled the blower yet, so i don't have a definitive answer as to whether this works or not. some people will probably balk at the use of a non-stock part, but i'd rather scrimp on parts that no one will ever see and spend the savings on more cosmetic needs (butterscotch color change!). as long as it works, i'm fine with it. as far as i can tell, the copper capillary serves no essential purpose, so i'm doing without. i don't need minute temperature adjustments. if you think that the capillary is absolutely integral to the system, please tell me how and why. so! please visit the link below to se…

Hello all, My wiper blades that I've had on my 03/72 built 240z had finally given out (the blade insert), and I decided that since the blade assembly had a little damage anyway (one of the underside tabs was partially snapped off), I would order some new ones. I searched the forums and found several references to the "correct" part number being B6370-E4100. I searched that part number on Courtesy's site, and ordered them for about $15 each. There was no picture, it just had the generic cardboard box image they use. The new blade assembly (pictured on the car in the attached image) doesn't have the smooth front that the old ones had (pictured on my desk)... I think the…

In the last three months, a friend of mine who is a MB A/C technician has rebuilt my original after market 72 A/C. It took time because finding a compressor replacement was not easy ( the rotary one ) and everything has been replaced including all hoses. In the next few weeks, I have to decide if it will run R 12 or R 134a. I have the Honda motor blower that is stronger than the original Nissan. In summer here we are close to 117 F. He believes that I can go with R134a because I will not see any difference, the system still having rubber hoses that absorb heat no matter I have installed insulation on all of them. Some savy members here to give me advise?

Does anyone know where to find the black plastic piece that holds the brake lines on the inside of the engine bay. I'm not sure what the technical name is and I looked in the usual places, but can't seem to locate this piece. Any ideas...... Thanks, Randy

Well guys, Saturday turned out great! My 77 Z has been parked since 91. Fuel system was in horrible shape. Fuel tank was extremely rusty, pump wouldn't run and injectors were plugged with rust and wouldn't click when voltage was applied. I removed the tank and sent it out for repair at a local shop. Still isn't back yet. New pump and injectors arrived Thursday. I removed the fuel rail, refinished it and installed the remanned injectors. Got the rail installed and attached a pressurized fuel canister to it. Climed in and hit the key! 3 revs and she FIRED UP! Amazing! No missing, smoking , nothing but smooth fast idle. The guys in the shop were stunned that this car sounde…

Does anyone have the part number for the rubber seals that screw onto the front of the quarter windows(in between the door window frame and quarter window)? I just discovered these seals and didn't know they even existed b/c they're missing from my 240z.

I thought I would try and start putting a few pieces back on the engine bay, but I just can't remember where this goes......I put it on the firewall just to show the item (a relay I guess). I know it doesn't go there, it was just to show the piece but where does it attach........... Thanks, Randy

I am installing an A/C system from a 76' 280z into my early 260z. Everything has fit very well and I do not see any major issues. In my search through the archives, many have said to leave out the 2 magnetic switches because they are not needed and may leak. No real explanation as to how the system will work differently afterwards and no mention of the vacuum bottle. So my questions are 1- Can anyone tell me about how the system will operate without the 2 switches? and 2- Do I need the vacuum bottle? Thanks for your help. Skip Dawson
