I went by the shop today to check on the Z and the painter had just finished applying this undercoating that looks alot like a rhino liner type of product. The new floors from Zedd's were put in a few weeks ago and were covered with por 15, and the outside received this. I'm happy with it because I am going to be driving the car and it needed to be protected, but would this be considered appropriate to a purist? What is the acceptable method for undercoating? A little late now, but was curious to what others thought. Thanks,

I was on 95 today with my truck and went to get on hwy 94 east to go to Fleet Farm in Hudson and as I was on the on ramp to get on the highway I saw a very nice looking 280Z like mine except brown off to the side trying to back up :eek::eek: scared the sh!t out of me. Not something you want to see on an on ramp doing about 50-55MPH. I felt so bad for the guy I wanted so bad to stop and help the poor Z and owner but I had other people on my arse and I just couldn't do it. He must have made it OK because on my way back he was gone. Thought I'd share that with you. Not something you see here everyday in MN. or WI.

Just got my December issue of Classic Motorsports and in it a 2009 Classic Motorsports Calender. The January Pin-Up Girl is none other than Carl Beck's Brock Desert Race Car... Very nice Carl!!! Only thing is, they called him a "fanatic" which of course will put him on a Department of Homeland Security Watch-listLOL

which to buy 1 2 3

first i wanna thank everyone for their advice in advance. i'm having a difficult time on deciding which Z to buy. the choices i have are a 74 260z, early model and a 72 240z. both are in the same condition. no rust, interior is good, exterior is good, frame rails are good, titles are in hand and clear. both are drivable with good suspension and no leaks of any kind. now with that said the 260z is about 2000.00 cheaper and about a 5-6 hour drive from where i'm at. and the 240z is about an hour or 2 drive away which has the tail lights i like over the 260 and 280 and the smaller bumpers. which of the two would you prefer?

HI, My name is Donna and I have been doing the happy Z dance. I have been in love with the Z cars ever since I was a little girl. I fell in love with this 12/70 Z Baby at first sight, and I just had to buy her. I have looked for a long time for a decent stock factory 240Z, and I would like to clean her up and keep her as stock as can be... While cleaning her up. Any advice for her? I'm all ears open! I would love to bring her back to her shiny bright days. I adore this Z!!!! What a blast to drive her! Yeah, as I am typing this out, I'm still wearing the smile she gives me. So far, while exploring at her. She's with her matching engine number, along with her sto…

I am sure it's only me that starts new projects every week and never gets to finish any but one or two and another deal comes along to good to pass up.Well this last one is about to drive me crazy so I thought maybe someone else might have time for another iron. A friend of mine bought a turbo 280 with the F54 block and P90 heads to build a kick arse Z with.He took it to a performance shop and with help from the owner custom ordered the best pistons, rods, and a bunch of stuff to make this thing fly.He paid for all the parts up front and most of the machine work.He ended up in the hospital with heart problems and decided he did not want to continue this car. He told me if I…

I was looking through the black dragon automotive catalog for parts for my 240z yesterday and I was impressed with low prices on certain parts. I called them today to ask if the parts I found are aftermarket or original Nissan parts and they told me that almost all of their parts are aftermarket. Has anyone bought 240z parts from them? Are they different from original parts? I was planning on buying outer door handles, the lower window molding, an ignition swtich etc., but I don't like the idea of buying aftermarket parts.

I don't know if it's me or I am just looking in the wrong place but I have checked every source and vendor for several years and I have not been able to locate an early throttle knob other than home made.I never give up on anything and the harder the task the more determined I am.I tried money being no object,But some people have parts they wouldn't part with for any price.I would like to try another route.I have 4 Zcars left that are still a lot of good stuff on plus a good stash of parts collected off a bunch of Z's over the years. They range from 12/70 to 7/72. I will trade ANY part I have that is not on a car that I drive for a great condition series 1 throttle knob. I…
