I'm looking to buy a 1972 240Z near South SF and I'm in the Riverside area. Will anyone be willing to take a gander at it for me? It looks like it's in pretty nice condition. The guy who is selling says one of the carbs needs to be adjusted. Please PM me if you're interested and we can set something up. I would truly appreciate this favor and I would have no problem paying for your time and gas. Thank you, Nick

Hey guys, is there an alternative/better replacement for the stock heater control valve for a 77 Z with factory A/C? After looking over this site and hybridz I found that a ford diesel or mack truck valve will work in a Z but the heater has to be cable operated. Mine uses vaccum like most other 77 and up Zs. The water leaks and soaked flooring routine is getting old. You can no longer order the vaccume heater valve through MSA, courtsynissan, or every dealer I called. Is there any alternative to this part?

40 years ago the Z appeared. I wonder if Nissan will develop a 40th Anniversery 370 Z as they did for the 10th Z- and the 50th Nissan-Anniversary. Is anything in the pipeline? Rolf

As many of you know I just did a motor swap in my 72 240Z. Odds are you also know that things went VERY VERY wrong inside the motor I installed :tapemouth Well, at this point in the game I want my 240Z driver for the summer yesterday!!!!!! Now I have been buying and putting aside parts for the 73 project for well over 5 years now. Keep in mind thats a V8 conversion parts list. Now those parts are going in the 72 I just picked up and have been posting photos of. Yes, it's getting my 73 corvette 350 with the short turbo 350 transmission. Now please understand it's only because I have EVERYTHING but the mount kit and speedo cable sitting in the same work bay as the car. …

I was going thru my big box of old parts, trying to decide if I should throw most of them out or try to find a new home for them. Most of the parts could be used by someone. Some are re-cad plated but the cad color wasn't to my liking. There's a front engine cover, a R180 rear cover, thermostat housing, (2) front Koni's with maybe 40-50,000 miles on them, an E46 intake manifold with an air cleaner, interior door handles, (2) original front brake calipers, (2) original rear brake drums with 85,000 miles on them, and the list goes on a bit. Is one man's pile of used parts another man's treasure? Your thoughts? Fixitman

So here is the story. I have the parts ordered to fix the floors and will get the needed parts fixed. The car will be road worthy again in a week or two. I am looking for a fun drive to work on nice days car, that will turn heads and be a turn key classic. Might take it out to run the cones a few times but nothing serious. Basically drive, look cool and have fun car. Stock exterior and keep most of the basic systems intact but make things easier, reduce matenance etc. Its a numbers matching car, and I am third owner. Nearing 170,000 miles. Nearly everything is factory or replaced with Autozone type parts so showroom concours is not in the future. It came with a We…

I'm not sure if this is the appropriate place for this thread, so i'm sorry if i should have posted elsewhere. I've been trying to come up with a creative way to support my 280z restoration, and since i'm a graphic designer i thought i might see if anyone would be interested in buying some of my drawings on shirts or posters. Here's a sample of what i'm thinking of having printed. If yall like it and think you'd buy one, let me know. If it's an issue of the color of the car being undesirable, let me know what you'd prefer it to be.
