I don't know if anyone else will know what I am referring to, but one of the side windows on my 240z has a white hazy line in the glass from the window roller and the rear window also has white hazy marks all around the edges from louvers that were probably on the car for quite some time. Does anyone know how to remove these hazy marks from glass? Is there any type of cleaner that will get the job done well?

The Z had one last peaceful night in her garage before it was time to start the investigation into her rear end clunk. With tools put away, and the garage cleaned up, she was ready for a peaceful nights sleep. Then while waiting on Hurricane Gustav this weekend I had time to do a little work. I started cleaning my replacement diff in case I decided to use it, and started the task of getting the car safely in the air and well supported. I had to put the garage stereo on easy listening so to lull her to sleep for surgery. THen the tires came off, followed quickly by the drivers side half shaft, which put up next to no fight at all. Here is the picture of the …

Might interest someone to know a 1977 Zapp Z is for sale in the SF Bay Area on Craigslist. Not bad for $2900 US. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/cto/1048518840.html

Anyone know who belongs to this Z? Kinda hard to tell what condition it's in with the few pics that were provided. The engine compartments look pretty clean anyway. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/ctd/1051720835.html Apparently someone doesn't know what the 71 hubcaps looked like. Quote: "original hub caps", "All original, no modifications true stock". I don't think so........ .

I am in need of a front grill for my 1970 240, will the grill's off of a 72 or 73 fit? I did a search but nothing came up. I have no idea if they are any different on the early cars. Is there an aftermarket one? Thanks for any info, or if someone has a nice example and wants to sell it let me know. Thanks, Randy

Well what can I say, I have another Z 1971.. no interior, not even the dash! HLS30-25015 matching number block #32135 E-31 head E-46 intake and 4 screw SU's It runs strong but has alot of body stuff to be done. I think it will make a good track day car in the end and an even better mechanical doner for my 74. At least I did my part to save one from the crusher.

Anyone else out there bought a set of these reproduction headlight cover sets only to find they don't quite fit. There close but it's a no-go on the bottom hole. You really can't flatten them to make it fit because you loose the outside curve. I got lucky because I bought a set of rings ( that we talked about here on the board) about a year ago. There not new but they are original. Anyway I popped out the lenses dropped them in the other rings and damm they fit perfect. I used aluminum nut-serts for the install. works great. Anyway here's a pic. Oh, I did a spring and strut install this week too. Got it down 1.5" sits real nice now.

I need the advice of an experienced Z car guy. I just got into these cars and picked up this green z for cheap. A little history about the car. -rear quarter panels were replaced -good moldings, no cracks in dash -floorboards were replaced Check out these photos and let me know what you guys think. I am undecided whether I should restore this car or ditch it (sell it as is) and just look for a cleaner one. I have done lots of rust repair before but I am worried since the car has already had lots of rust repair I may run into a few suprises on the way. I plan on keeping a Z for a very long time. This is the worst part of the car and the area needing most at…
