Haven't worked on the car for a while... She sits safe & snug in the garage for now. Most of January I've been busy with family and for the last 1-1/2 weeks have been working long days and weekends as we are launching a new product. I expect to be too busy to work on the car for a few weeks more... Hopefully I'll have time to work on her again soon.

I forgot my password 2 years ago and have not been able to post anything to the club.I tried for a long time to log on but one of my motto's is " You have to be smarter than what you are working with " I guess that applies to computers to.I took one last WAG at it tonight and got it right.I have had a lot of questions and replies to messages I was unable to do so, if I offended anyone I am terribly sorry. While I was out of touch with the club experts I have had many questions or need of advice that I really miss.I hope after such a long absence I will be welcomed back in the fold. THANKS RONNIE

I am looking for my old 240Z. I had to sell it at one point and would love to find it again. The color is very unique and very well done. I have attached a few photos of it. The was in CA and sold to someone in Texas. He got divorced and sold the car, but that is where I lost it. Can anyone help me? Anyone!!??

I have some fun in only a week of looking at building my Z. I thought I might share them with you. Keep in mine I have not had a Z in 30 years. Please post yours too. I went over to local hot rodder. I say as follows: Me: " I've got a new Z coming." Them: "Good we like those cars - best ones. Early one?" Me: "Yep, and all original." Them: Smiling big " The best and our speciality. Like about a '68 or something?" Me: Uhh no - its a '74 Datsun Z. Them: Huh? Them with coffee in hand : " Its all the same - just time and money. Which do you have the most of." Me: Long drink of coffee. " It depends." "The longer I have to wait - the faster I have to go." Them: S…

Many of the screws and bolts on my 240z are discolored from years of grease/dirt etc.. Is there a certain solution I can soak the screws and bolts in that will restore them to their original look? And what about the aluminum parts of the car that are supposed to be a goldish color? Can those be restored to their original look without having to buy new parts?

Not sure if any of you remember me, but I've been gone for about nine months. I had many personal issues arise that took me away from this board, other boards, and quite frankly out of the State for a period of time. I sure have missed the camaraderie of this board, the people, and all the wisdom it contains.... Well, I'm back and hope to be able to be part of the family again. The Z is still in the same shape it was; sitting in my garage waiting for its return to glory. Not sure when that will be, but at least I can read up, converse, and ask questions preparing for the day I'll finally be able to start my project.... You guys are great and have been missed.... :squ…

i'm thinking swaping a 280zx 5-speed transmission to a 73 240z. Will this mount-up to tranny mount?, driveshaft?, & will the shifter be in the same location? What about resale value, will it hurt it?

Fantasy: Old cars are the best and you are going to love it. Reality Check: Old cars are old. They are old for a reason. And there are reasons that they dont build them like that anymore. Fantasy: They go FAST. Men fear them. Chicks dig them. Reality Check: They arent as fast as you remember or you are slower. Men say " What is that little THANG you drivin'?" Women say "Does it have air conditioning and hands free cell calling? Oh I did not know that was not available THEN. How OLD are you?" Fantasy: They did not cost a lot back in 1975. Reality Check: I did not have any money in 1975 so buying hot rod parts was not a concern. Reality Check 2: It w…
