Does anyone have an up to date Nissan part numbers for bolts and screws for a 240z? I'd appreciate it if everyone could just give me every part number they have. I'd like to replace as many screws and bolts on the car as possible. I'm pretty sure the parts department at the Nissan dealer near me will be able to find almost any nuts or screws i need, as long as I have the correct part numbers.

I really need to get my fuel tank pulled, cleaned, sealed, new sender unit installed, hoses etc to stop some leaks and bad smells. My main man Gary from Spanky's has moved to Texas. . . . Is there anyone out there in Phoenix who can recommend someone good to work on my Z? I really don't want to get into pulling fuel tanks apart.... Thanks

Hello folks. I need to replace the wiper blades on my '70 and I want to retain the original assembly. Is it possible to just change out the inserts and where is the best place to buy inserts? I thought I read a thread a while back where someone posted the part number but could not find it via the search. Thanks. Jack T

Hi This is my first post here. I have a 73 240 that I've owned for 26 years. It's been in storage for the last 10 and i recently decided to get i on the road again. I'm a CNC pattern maker for the sand casting industry and have my own shop. I decided that I needed to design and cast something cool for the car and thought I'd do something unique like a triple SU set up. Then after digging around a little I see that Z therapy is coming out with one. So much for being unique! After some more digging I came across the Megasquirt site. This seemed to be a lot slicker than three SUs and and being a bit of a geek I love the open source concept of it. So here's my design criter…

Since I'm buying so many little goodies from MSA during my refresh, I thought I'd start a thread to provide reviews on them. Feel free to contribute your own parts reviews. Here's mine so far. I have other parts, but can't comment on them yet. All of my parts are for a 1973 240Z. Of note, I can't believe how many of them were actual Nissan parts. 1) Bullet II Mirrors - very high quality, made of metal. The tension on the swivel mechanism is adjustable, so you can tighten them up if they get loose. They are fairly small diameter, so you'll want to carefully mount them for the best view, as the field of vision is smaller than normal. They look great, though. 2) MS…

Hi- had several Zs prior, but just took the dive again. Been lurking a while on this site, now I have work to do! Just bought this Z which I found in NC while on a business trip. It was so clean I just had to buy it. I know how hard it is to find a Z that is not rusted up, this one is 98% rust free, floors, rails, spare tire well, all are just as it left the factory in 1975. There are a few very small spots in the usual places behind a couple of wheels, thats it. Here's the particulars: 110K originals miles Painted once, orig color Perfect interior, no cracks in dash, everything works, even the clock! Seat recovered in correct pattern. Original carpet & spare Pa…

Guys: #248 is done - finally!!! I'm cleaning out the garage and the parts that I had left over have been listed in the classifieds. There are several very early vin # specific parts listed. If you would like pics or have questions, shoot me an email at dat240zg@gmail.com. BTW, while I recognize that not everyone will appreciate #248's rodstoration, if you'd like to see the final result, follow the link: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=142984&highlight=248 Have a great one. Just to clarify, many of the original stock parts were missing, including the motor and tranny, so a stock restoration was not practical. Bryan

Hello to all. My first post. My first 240Z. A gift from my father-in-law. He purchased it new in 1970. Upgraded to a 260 engine some time in the '70's. (Have to go through the receipts.) The car is terrific. Drove it home today. I know nothing about Z-cars. Here are the first of many stupid newbie questions -- 1.) Recommendations on mechanics in West L.A. or the SF Valley who know these cars inside and out. I'm not much a DIY guy. I like to find an excellent mechanic I can trust to get the job done right the first time. 2.) Wheels on my car are 14". I guess they're six inches wide? I know the tire selection for 14" is basically non-existent. Are there 15"…

Which valve cover usually brings more money when restored and painted nicely. The regular nissan ohc one or the TURBO one.

What do you think about the engine? I shaved and polished the balance tube, replaced the Longflo filters with the stock, refurbished air cleaner box, new fuel pump and all new lines, and painted the valve cover to match the air cleaner. I polished the aluminum "Nissan OHC" on the valve cover and the fins. Also replaced a lot of worn, tired hoses. One question...In the last pic, I'm still not sure what connects to the 2nd big elbow coming out of the air cleaner, the one that faces down.
