OK just a thought but if Thrush Muffler had a Factory Sponsored race car what would it be, a Chevy Vega or a Chevy Monza? Not Z related but I love the way things were made, built and styled in the hey day of sports cars and road racing like the Trans Am series and the SCCA. Looking for something to draw basicly that I thought would be cool, but like to use the Monza body style although the Vega front end looks better. I take that back, the Monza front end looks good too, must of saw one with the non slanted nose design first. Of course the car will be blue but I plan to draw 2 styles with different side markings to indicate 2 cars on the same race team back…

I "Temporarily" put on the White side stripes on my Orange 240. I say "temporarily" because I had two sets and these pictures are of the car after I applied them. The pictures don't show it but there are a few wrinkles and bubbles, and I want it done it right. I just put these on to shoot a few photos and see if I like the look, or keep it plain.....I really like it. So, in about a week a local sign shop said they would do the application for me, and it will be done right. Soooo, what do you guys think....stripes or plain...(I'm going with the stripes and maybe pana's later) Randy

I have found a 76 280Z that has been in storage for the past 29 years. The second owner purchased it from the first and has put 4000 miles on it since buying it. It now has 33000 miles. There is no rust and the paint looks in excellent shape. He wants $6500 for the car. Would like you views. It would need a new interior and I'm sure a bushing kit. Thanks for your input

Here's an interesting 240Z with a vinyl top. If you can get past the top, $6,250 obo doesn't look like a terrible deal: http://bringatrailer.com/2009/01/07/1-owner-survivor-blue-plate-1971-datsun-240z/#more-1460 Never saw this dealer-installed option...I can guess why it wasn't too popular:p

I am cleaning out parts for and from my 1/70 Z. I was looking at the seat belts and noticed that they had some very early dates stamped on them; 7/69 on one set and 8/69 on the other set. Interesting stuff written on the label; Datsun Rear part #TK-656-34A, manufacturer is Takata Kojyo Co, Ltd. I have to believe that these came with the car (I am 3rd owner). I am surprised by the early dates. Any comments/input?

RHD Fairlady Z 1 2 3

All: A person on another board I participate in has been looking for an early RHD Fairlady Z: He's not particularly worried about condition, but he's not willing to spend big money for a poor example. Seems like he's looking for something he can restore, and therefore wants to keep the price as low as possible. He's in the States, not sure if there's many of these around in North America. He's looked in Japan, but was floored by the high prices. Any ideas or cars you know of that are available?

Well, It's been pretty quite around the board lately so I thought I would post this to help break the silence....It's a few pictures from last summers car show complete with two Hooter girls........ My 16 year old son was with me and won a door prize, so I had to take his picture. Hope everyone is doing well, I can feel spring just around the corner...... Hopefully (on a side note) will have some updated pictures of 797. We got delayed with the floor pans and a shipping error, but they should be in by weeks end. Cheers all, Randy

Guys - nice Z for sale (maybe) over at zcar.com: http://www.zcar.com/forums/read/8/2004079 the guy is the original owner, he's 60-something and doesn't know what it's worth. Has 42,000 miles - some mods, but mild. I have to believe this is $15K, but what do I know...any thoughts?

See my second visit impressions below!!! I went by Titus, in Carrollton, TX to see the yellow series one on ebay. I must say that it would be worth it for close to what they are asking. The car is straight and I couldn't find any rust. Very clean. A restoration of this quality would definitely cost much more than the asking price: It's not one of those cheap basket case refreshed Zs. I only spent less that 10 minutes looking at it, and didn't drive it. I am not affiliated with the seller, and have my own series one. I wish I had the $$. Just thought some of you might want to know, as most of us on here are real Z freaks. If anyone wants me to stop by and inspect …
