I'm watching a listing on ebay. item#170292194653 It's listed as a 71 280. but by the Vin#HLS30-006018 I've been informed it's a 70. I'm asking if any of the members live near Napa that can take a look at her and maybe some pic's and give a informed opinion on the car.

I saw this ad on zcar.com and thought I'd pass it along to classiczcar folks. The description, linked here: http://www.zcar.com/forums/read/8/2003084. The car has been disassembled and some restoration efforts begun. Also comes with a pretty impressive number of NOS parts, and the seller seems thorough and well organized. Here is a link to an extensive photo slideshow detailing parts and progress: http://www.kodakgallery.com/ShareLanding.action?c=6o7mje4z.8s6vh2vn&x=0&y=-13vcz7 The car is in Rockville, MD. Asking price is $9000. Disclaimers - I don't know this seller, I'm not affiliated in any way, etc., etc. Gary S.

I've seen a lot of taillight ideas for the 260z but here is one I came up with today while prowling the salvage yard. If you like this one, it won't take much work to retrofit as they are a great fit. This is a tailight from an olds cutlass cierra.

I can't find it in online parts catalogues, or at local parts stores. It looks like a condenser or a capacitor. What is its function? Do they ever need replacing? The part I am referring to is the small silver cylinder attached to the coil bracket, who's blue wire plugs into the positive side of the ignition coil. Credit for the photo goes to another member of this forum.

Hey y'all, Some know that I have been looking for my first car off and on for the last 9 years. It was a 1972 112 yellow nicknamed "Slimer". It had an L28 with the original E88, American Racing Libres, front bumper option with the bar across the top, aftermarket vinyl seatcovers that reminded me of chocolate colored marble, missing shift knob (the Hurst one was stolen right before it was impounded), and a busted radio. The last I know, it was being held at Associated Auto Tow in Fremont, CA, and the lien sale (which I am not sure if it was ever completed or not) was handled by Ritter Sales South, based in San Diego, CA. Timeline was April 1996. I did already check zhome…

For X-Mas, my buddy Wayne bought me a JADA 72' 240Z. It's not a perfect replica, but it's close enough... What's really cool is he took it to William's Auto Body where I had my car painted. William was finishing my hood and painted the model at the same time using automotive paint. Then Wayne painted the wheels using the Duplicolor graphite wheel paint is used to paint my panasports. It was a real surprise! I'll complete the process by painting the interior to match my car.

Well, after much worry and much great advice from the members of this site, I turned the key on Saturday to my top end/timing chain rebuild, and after turning over and over to get everything primed, she started right up! With the exception of one small exhaust leak, there were no oil or gas leaks and I couldn't believe after checking the timing, dwell, and carb balance, everything was dead on! It's running better than ever! So, to all those that took some of your valuable time to answer my questions about engine rebuilding, thank you very much. Your help and support was very much appreciated. Things like getting the cam/crank/oil pump/distributor timed may be easy to …
