I want to ax the complete smog system on my 1972 240 (california car). Are there any articles, etc. on doing this? Are there any components that I should absolutely leave or do I just take it off and plug the holes? Any direction is appreciated. Thanks.

can i replace the u-joints on my 78 280z. the manuals say no, but I just replaced one on one of the half shafts with no problem at all. thing is there is another bad one on the drive shaft (propeller shaft). do I need to replace the whole thing??? P.S. I have a 5 speed.

Hi everyone, I'm a student from Germany and realy into z cars especially the 240z, unfortunately these cars are very very rare here in Europe (or I'm too dumb to find one). So we are planing to import one from the US as a project to build it up, but i have some questions left: which spare parts should I pick up from the US in addition to the complete Z? I know it's hard to say since every Z needs other parts, but I'm sure there are some major parts which are always good to have like another clutch or something. (I'm searching especially for parts which are hard to find in europe, if you know some let it me know ) besides this i have some doubts about the sunroof, …

Finally finished the garage addition, I say finally but it only took 5 weeks. Now comes the hard part which is moving in and trying to get everything arranged. Two cars fit perfect with plenty of room to work and move around, but when I add the TR6 it gets just a tad crowded. Hopefully I can spend the weekend getting things organized and putting the new carbs on the 73.

Okay, I'm going to get this out of the way first: I started looking for a Z because I intended on just finding one with a clean chassis and beginning an engine swap project... an aluminum block Ford DOHC 4.6, likely from a Lincoln Mark VIII. I had been looking for a chassis for a little while, maybe a month or two, when I saw a car pop up on craigslist a short drive from my old house that sounded promising. Originally a Texas car, sat in a garage for the last 8 years, and supposedly very clean. So I went to look at it. The car was originaly a putrid green color but it had a fresh coat of bright red put on right before it was parked that was still in very good condition.…

I searched a bit but didn't find anything similar. I thought it would be cool to have a thread for people to post pictures and/or stories about their first Datsuns. My current orange 72 510 is my first and only Datsun...... For now Of course I grew up around Datsuns b/c my dad (Diseazd) had a ton of them. I was just telling him today that it's kind of cool that some of my first memories are pretending to drive in the 510 shells leftover from his resto.
