man, i wish this http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?p=1717671 is the next Z since everybody's doing the 'retro' style look to the new cars(mustang, charger, mini cooper,etc). so what do u guys think? i really like it but there's a little too much going on with the front bumper, other than that i think its awesome.

My A/T has been redone two weeks ago. A new transmission mount has been installed this week. It seems that I have weak engine mounts because my A/C compressor bracket is stuck on the left frame rail with no clearance as before. I have the new engine mounts but the transmission shop is charging me $200.00 to install them. It doesn't seems to be a big job. Has anybody has a safe procedure to do this work or is it better to bring the car to other shops to ask for a quote?

I haven't really posted here much but I am a member of aother very popular automotive forum that has a "parts wanted" and a "parts for sale" section. It is a very good source for hard to find parts. Why doesn't the Z forum incorporate these sections?

I recently bought a stock 280 air filter (priced 10 dollars or so) - vs. buying the high performance K&N filter ($45.00) Does anyone recommend K&N over stock? For a 45 dollar air filter do you really get more performance? I know they tend to let more air flow through, but I was wondering if this is true; or just a gimmick on selling an expensive air filter. Thanks!

I will be taking delivery of my Z as most of you know in about a little over a week. I want to do a really great detail job on her before I take her out for registration etc. So, my question is this. How do you bring back the shine in older paint. Most of the car is very glossy, but parts are starting to look satin to flat. I would like to bring back the luster to the car. My plans were just to do the basics. wash claybar polish with buffer wax with buffer Anything else that I can use to get back the new car shine.

Hey guys I just joined this site and wanted some feedback from everyone on this car. I don't know too much about it because its my brothers but he got a new car so i basically took over taking care of it. My brother did something to the engine and either blew a head gasket or cracked the head, but the engine only has 71,000 miles on it. But I really wanted to tear the car down to its frame and completely rebuild it with new parts where needed as a project car. Is this car worth rebuilding from the ground up? I like the Z's a lot, i owned a 1990 300 ZX and it was a great car. So any feedback on the 280 ZX would be great from anybody, remember I'm pretty new to this!!…

I would like to hear opinions on this injector set. I was thinking of replacing my injectors and wires and ran across this set searching Ebay. I have seen the wires listed seperately, I like the wires that MSA sells better. I am wondering if this might be a good way to go though. I've read posts in the past about sending injectors out to be cleaned. All comments are appreciated. was wondering if you guys have noticed the green 240 passing by in the beginning of a commercial that has been airing on Speedvision lately. the commercial features cars/minivans that have a '63' on the door....the 240 cruises by at the very beginning of the ad....)
