Just made a post in another thread about fuel economy and didn't want to highjack it, so I thought it was a valid discussion to ask what others may be doing or thinking (Z wise) of to overcome the gas price issue. I can't stop driving my Z so I'm looking at controling the cost of using it. To date I have started using fourth gear , but seriously - I bought an 83 5 spd tranny last year which I am thinking I'll install on my next hitch off the ship. Has anyone got anything else?

Can anyone help identify who makes the blue lowering springs in the picture? I know its for a 240z, but don"t know who makes them or how much they lower. Thanks!

Well, I did the Ebay thing and sold my Orange 240Z, I set the reserve at $11,000 hoping it would garner more bids once the reserve was met. It met reserve and then........no more bids, oh well. It's a weird feeling, I'm glad for the buyer and sad for me, feels like buyers remorse only the opposite. I think the buyer got a very good and fair deal, and 10 years from now when the cars worth $30k I'll be kicking myself. But now I can focus on the Green 71 and start getting it in the condition the Orange one was in. Thanks to everyone for their input prior to the sell...... Randy

Hey Folks, Well...........I may be selling my 73 240Z. Time and Space are telling me I need to sell a car so I was thinking about the 1973 918 Orange. Of course I would have to give Ebay a whirl just for the sheer number of people that look there. If I do go that route please take it easy on me as I'm sure it will be noticed by the board. I would love some opinions on some of the photos I took, Do you see anything that would worry a potential buyer. The car is really GREAT, but I just enjoy the Green 71 so much better that I hardly drive the Orange one anymore. (I know poor Randy) Anyway, I'm not 100% but just from the pictures would you rate it in the number 3 conditio…

I just bought another z car. it is a 1970 240z vin 00890. very early production. i have had quite a few z cars my last one was a 2003 350z. I work at a very large salvage yard and i ran across this gem about a week ago. the car has solid floors and rear hatch area. It has some rust over the rear quarters thats about it. The man i bought the car from said has set in a garage since 1979. i need some help finding some parts.???.

In Indiana, I have to put my Z through an emissions test. Anything that is 1976 and newer has to have one. There is no way in hell she's going to pass. Any tricks that you know of? I realy don't want to put her right back in the garage.

I got a new digital camera and thought it might be fun to make a short video with it of my car. It's nothing special as it wasn't taken on a video camera, but it's not too horribly bad either. I'm thinkin about making another one for fun this weekend this time of the inside of the car going around the block. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxAP7Kf47S4 Just got it back from getting the rear bumper rechromed.
