It didn't appear that this site was ever brought up on here before when I searched, so was curious if any of you have came across this site before. Quite the restoration he did, it looks beautiful! http://dat280z.com/

Well, my boss/friend owns a Datsun pickup truck. I am not sure what kind, year, or model. Though, I popped open the hood and was rather surprised at what I saw. At first, I had thought that it was a V8. Spark plug wires were traveling to both sides of the engine, and the dizzy had 9 plugs in it. I was shocked to notice a Datsun with a stock engine (I do believe) with a V8 in it! So then as I investigated even further, I only noticed exhaust and intake only going/coming from 1 side. So then I was even more surprised to know that this had two spark plugs per cylinder which is rather surprising now that some auto companies are starting to use 2 spark plugs per cylinde…

I didn't end up buying this for myself, but I thought I'd pass the info along: "Y70" flywheel, Nissan part # 12310-Y7056 (supercedes old part # 12310-Y7000). I think it was out of an '83 Maxima. They're asking $75 for it, and it needs to be re-surfaced. I chose not to buy it because my local machine shop wants too much $$ (for my taste) to resurface it. Its at General Auto Salvage Co. (in New Hampshire) 800-562-3845. Ask for Bruce. He verified that its got "Y70" cast into the back side.

I bought a 1973 FSM on Ebay. It came in the mail this past week. If anyone has the 1973 manual could you let me know what the quality of the photos in the manual are? The one I have has very dark photos. Much like you get when you try to photocopy pages from a manual. Did I buy a well packaged photocopy of a original manual or was the quality bad from the first printing. The text and drawings are very readable, the photos not so much.

Looks like it's pretty clean. It states the ECU was replaced after it had been taken out of storage. I wonder if there was more to it than what the owner stated on why it got parked 23 years ago? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1978-280Z-1-OWNER-79-000-miles-Stored-23-years_W0QQitemZ180216383760QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item180216383760

Hello, I have got a nice Safari rally memorabilia badge in Japan.I really love this shape and color. I had been staying at hotel in Tokyo this month, and I found a wonderful thing... The hotel is located just 2 blocks west of NISMO - Omori factory.I looked around entrance and immediately I found a badge collection. There is a description plate tells, "Nanba Yoshiharu-the first president of NISMO- Car badge collection" Mr.Nanba is famous,he was a general manager of Nissan rally team late 60's to 70's.His telling stories are really fun and worth to read,I want to share with all of people but I do not see any publication, have you ever seen in English? Anyway, the coll…

OK, my side view mirror on the 78 is fine........but, the base or mount is cracked. Now my mirror has to be fixed because it is simpily no loner stable. The mirror now shakes. I've glued it twice and it comes loose from the mount in a couple days. Is there any way I can save the mirror and just replace the mount? I think the OEM mirrors come with the mount if you buy them brand new, but I don't really need the mirror itself. (considering aftermarker mirror to save money) Any of you ever seen just the mount/ base for sale? Or should I just get an entire new mirror?
