Just wanted to say hello to everyone here...I'm fascinated by all the restorations everyone here seems to be performing. My mom has a blue '71 240Z and lately it seems I cannot wait for her to hand it down to the next generation...any tips? (either how to remain patient, or how to convince her?? ...)

Hey, tomorrow im heading out to NJ to check out a 72 240z 4 speed car. The car was originally the lime green color but has been painted blue (dont know the quality of the paint job cause I haven't seen pics). There is rust in the 1/4's as well as the rockers. They said the floors were fine and the hatch, I would just need to check out the rest of the areas. I believe he said the engine was rebuilt somewhere in new jersey but im not sure how long ago. The seats are ripped and some of the gauges dont work properly. The ignition switch is broken so they have a cable hooked to the starter and tap it on the battery to start the car. The price is 1500, but I know I can talk the…

A.K.A. "bras" (The black leather ones. NOT the clear film stuff) Just curious who all has one and how they like it or dislike it. I'm kicking around the idea of possibly getting one for my Z to protect her nose . Any photos are helpful too (especially if you have one on a 280Z like mine) MSA shows a couple different kinds. One from Covercraft which is $89.95 The other is Colgan Custom Front Bras which is $139.95 IF someone here has the Colgan Custom Front Bra, any idea what makes it worth $50.00 more? Here is the link to MSA's Exterior Accessories list which shows both masks http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/CTGY/EA Thanks in advance for your thoughts

'73 240Z at $8,600 and climbing but still hasn't met the reserve price... I know 240's go for more than 260's so I'd be more than happy to get $6,000 for my low mileage (72k) early 260Z. Maybe I should ask this guy to list it for me. eBay Motors_ Datsun _ Z-Series (item 190200419674 end time Fe...pdf

looked around, this seems like the garage sale area? if not, move me! I have a 75 white 280z that had its front end wrapped around a tree. it was totally stock, and i am parting it out before i have the yard come take it away. let me know what you need and i'll see if i got it. I'll ship for actual cost of shipping. I'm located in norcal and often head to santa rosa or san fran. I also have a 78 black one that used to run before it sat for about 5 years. not i can't get it to go and i see a gas leak next to the engine. I'm thinkin about fixing it and racing/selling it, so if you want a project or can tell me how to fix it, do that too. Ace

Hey guys, I was wondering what y'all could tell me about the engine in my '74 260. It's stamped L28-368548 (P79). The site I checked out told me that it's a 280 engine (L28) from about 1981 (P79). Is that about right?

Is this possible? I've had my old 71 up to 120 and she was near flight - the 77 at around 121 when I ran out of room and guts. 155 sounds pretttty tall.

Sorry about this but I'm just feed up with these Bozo's selling on Ebay. I bought a coil bracket off Ebay that was replated, not too long ago. Turns out it's not for a 240Z. It's much larger and can not be used. If you say it fits a 240Z, then make damm sure it does. Not all 280 stuff will swap over and vice-versa. Sure you have this very rare part you want to sell, like a steering wheel or a valve cover. Hey, it's not rare. Rare would be a new in the box set of tail lights, or a set of 432 magnesium rims. Rare would be FIA brakes, not a headlight bucket or a set of Monroe strut inserts. I bought a new in the box Cannon manifold for triples, the guy never mentioned the ca…
