Hey all! Ive got an '82 280z and lately it has been idling on high rpms, at around 1250rpm and then will fall to about 1000rpm after about 30 seconds while sitting at a stop light. I just got the oil changed and serviced at around 400-500 miles ago. This car used to idle at ~900rpm from what i remember. Car also has 140,000+ miles on it. Is this bad, if so what should i do? Thanks for any help!

Now, I am most likely going to take my 240 to a shop to get the rear window put in. Question that I have is do I need to order the weather stripping and take it in with the car and window? Or would it be recommended to do so? I know that it is a silly question, but always better to ask anyways.

So, I am getting a loan here soon for my trip to California. Going to use it for the trip, and still need to order a few parts and use it to get some stuff done. Anyways, on the trip home, what are some basic things that would be good to have? I am thinking about getting a steam cleaner to help with the underside cleaning of my car. I've heard some people say it works well, others not ... any opinions out there on this type of cleaning? I am looking at a steam cleaner that is originally a Wall Paper Remover but has cleaning attachments. Just got back from the mechanic with some great news! The 78 280z I got a while ago for 2,000 needed a lot more work than the PO said, which is typical, but I just got to make the first full inspection of the undercarriage, and THE CAR HAS ABOUT A NICKELS WORTH OF RUST! It's great! Now I can go to work on the car without worrying if I am putting money into something that will soon need a complete teardown-buildup. The car does need all new bushing, so I'll see if I can find a cheap set, but other than tat and some new struts, she's almost perfect! As a few of you warned me might happen, the mechanic broke my EGR tube from the exhaust manifold to the EGR valve. So anyway,…

Note the "dealer option" louvered hood, overspray on the paint job, filled in area in the rear hatch panel area, suspect rust in the drivers door sill area. Is datsun coming back? I was watchtng nopi tuner vision last night and saw what seemed to be a 350z. But it had twin turbo,s-(NOT SURE IF THEY ARE OEM OR NOT) and it had Datsun and 950 z emblems, Also briefly showed what seemed to be window sticker of $100,000. Has any one else heard of this?

So a little back story first. 2-3 weeks ago some buddies and I decided to doing a rolling photoshoot of the Z. We drove down to this perfect road, it was a getting dark out quick, but we managed to get a few really good pictures (just take a look at my album!). Anyway, I lost track of how long we were out there and how far we'd driven when I happened to glance at the fuel guage. Of course it was on E. So we immediately headed for home and made it to within about 10 block before I ran it out of fuel. Ouch. But my friend gave me a lift to get some gas, and the station let me borrow a gas can.
