I took my battery out for winter and saw the tray area for the first time. And I did not like what I saw. This is going to keep me up for days.

Hello all! i'm in the process of getting my car back up and running, but am having a bit of trouble sourcing some parts for my build. i'm on a pretty tight budget, but what i'm looking for is the following. radiator (that will fit my 240Z) 5 speed trans (in good operational order, needs no bearings replaced, and including the speedo gear) and the last item isn't really necessary to get my car up and running, but it is necessary for my speedo to be correct - 280Z R200 moustache bar. if anyone has these parts and wants to be rid of them, i will gladly take them! i'm trying to stay within $300 for the lot, since i still need to acquire a few easier to find parts as well. tha…

Well, I was going to get a video up because the pictures don't do it justice, but I have put the car to sleep for the winter. So here they are: The blue backlight (came with the projector housings) The halo ring (also came with the housings) The H.I.D. (and this is the pic that doesn't do them justice) Here is the diagram I adapted to show how I wired them up:

OK BOYS AND CHICKS ! BARE WITH ME..... I just got off the lock with a friend of mine in Japan and he tells me he may know of a stash of FAIRLADY Z RALLY CLOCKS in a warehouse chillin. Problem is he needs the parts numbers of the clocks in order to look them up in the computer and see if they have 'em ! The numbers he needs are 1. The two knob lap counter clock 2. The one knob calender clock 3. The oscillator for lap counter clock 4. The oscillator for calender clock He says he believes he actually seen the oscillators at least but says they look the same on the outside but built differently on the inside. which is why he needs both oscillator part numbers to know which os…

hi guys.in case you don't know, this blue race 240 was built in the early 90's by a fantastic company called FOURWAYS ENGINEERING in the uk.the car was one three built for a certain mr.Taylor who managed (maybe still) a rather well known 80's/90's pop band,Duran Duran.he built two road cars which were reported to have cost in excess of 70k each (remember over 15 years ago and in british pounds!!). the blue race z was commisioned later and rumours of anything between 140k to 250k have been mentioned.i'm in the process of gathering more information.information so far gathered is the race z was stripped and then rebodied in handcrafted alluminium panels.for weight reduction t…

Check out some of these 240Zs for sale in California. Seem to be priced very well, especially if you consider that most of them probably have very few rust issues: http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/car/477397371.html http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/car/486186508.html http://sandiego.craigslist.org/car/480958274.html http://inlandempire.craigslist.org/car/460410120.html http://goldcountry.craigslist.org/car/464154944.html http://sandiego.craigslist.org/car/484239115.html http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/car/472915756.html http://modesto.craigslist.org/car/475808701.html http://chico.craigslist.org/car/472156011.html http://chico.craigslist.org/car/485683618.html h…

Does anybody out there know of a way to rig the chokes on a triple Weber setup so that they operate with the lever on the console like the stock carbs?

Novice here, working with my brother's '71 240Z to put out to bid and sell. Question: When taking out the seat, to fix, found a fuse. Also then found the fuse box, everything "looks" fine. Went driving last week, was smooth, and drive was GREAT stuff worked, drove again this week and the windshield wipers aren't responding. ? Could it be a fuse, and if so, should I take them all out and can you test them? ? Since we're planning to sell at current price or best offer ($4100), does it make sense to sink $s into investigating this and raising the price to sell? ? Or could it be something else I should do to make the wipers work? Thanks tons!

This is up there with some of the $50k Z's people are trying to sell. Wasn't the original a Bridgestone? I'm so sick people people listing this crap on ebay that I've all but given up on there looking for parts. People think what they have is made of gold just because it's old. If I see one more "RARE!!!!!" I'm going to kill somebody......
