Ya'll should pick up this months issue of Collectible Automoble Magizine. Theres a Yellow 1971 240Z in the restoration profile section that was restored by Pierre Z as a "prototype" to the 50 or so Z's they did for the Nissian restoration program. Some of you Cats and Kittens out there might know this story already but for those who don't, the story and pics of this paticular '71 Z's restoration process (before and after) are great :classic: I couldn't find the magizine's website online but pic it up, it's worth the read and also note theres no mention of the article on the cover so thumb through it and look for the restoration profile / profile's to make sure you …

Thought this might be of interest. As is, the car is at $750 (no bids). Located in Albuquerque, NM. Nasty front end damage, but doesn't look insurmountable. Interior is fairly well shot, dash doesn't look bad. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/70-Datsun-240Z-Project-Car_W0QQitemZ190174886633QQihZ009QQcategoryZ6187QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Thought someone out there might like this one for parts.

hi guys.please forgive my ignorance on this question.is it possible to fit power steering, possibly of 280,to 73 240z.the only reason i ask is that i'm possibly wanting to fit really wide wheels on my next project and know turning at slow speeds will be an issue.would this spoil the feel of the excellent 240 drive or maybe is it mechanically not viable?? opinions please..

Here is the issue. I have a very original series 1 240z that needs restoration and I have listed it on ebay, craigslist, etc but i still have the car. Are they normally hard cars to sell or am i doing something wrong? Dont get me wrong I have had TONS of interest and so many offers thrown my way and even when i agreed and thought we had a deal people are backing out and nobody was ever serious. I bought the car to have as a restoration project but my life has taken an unexpected turn recently and i must attend to different priorities right now and cant have the car sitting and taking up garage space for an indefinite amount of time. Any suggestions on how to sell the c…

Just picked up the latest issue of Nostalgic Hero and there`s an article about an S30ZG. It says that the owner is Alan Thomas of London, England. Nice article. So, Alan Thomas . . . is that you and your car?

When did 240z's switch from clear glass to tinted glass? #237 and #331 both have all clear glass all around (doors, quarter windows, and hatch - with no defrost in hatch). Neither have the original windshield, so I don't know about that. My parts car, #882, is a 1/70 production car and it has tinted glass in the windshield, drivers door, both quarter windows, and the hatch - with the vert defrost lines. However, the passenger door glass is clear. The quarter windows and windshield didn't appear to have been replaced. That is they look to have the original seals, etc. The only info I found when searching was that the defrosters were supposed to have been introduced …

So I go to pick up some parts I won on eBay recently and the guy I am getting the parts from mentions he used to have a 1969 production 240z. I told him I have two and asked him what the VIN was. He couldn't remember, but as he described, it I realized I own that car now! It is #331 and I bought it a couple of months ago from the guy that he sold it to 5 yrs ago. The guy I was buying the parts from had bought it to turn into a vintage racer because it was a 1969 production car, but when he looked into it further he wasn't going to be able to race it like he had planned. I think there have been other posts about people trying to do the same thing with the 1969 cars. …
