This morning when I was driving to school I turn the heater on and the fan starts making this loud annoying pinging noise. I know its the fan because I tested it on the vent too, same noise and the pinging increases speed as I turn the knob up higher. Any ideas, is my fan dying? Thanks

Boy do I sure feel stupid. Here I've been for the last month or so tearing everything apart in my 280 to find out why it won't run. I've tested computer components and wiring, dropped the gas tank cleaned it, put in new injectors, I've done it all. Even with all of that the car wouldn't run. So I'm sitting in my basement with the FI bible and my FSM scanning through everything I can and then it hits me all of a sudden; Maybe it's out of gas? I didn't think of that first because well nothing on this car has been remotely that easy and I had chucked a few gallons into it before pulling the engine for a rebuild. Anyone have any experience with this weatherstrip kit? Im going to replace all the rubber on my car now that it is done being painted. I just bought a 78 280z, and the guy threw in the original stock alloys that the car came with. I also took some pictures of the wheels that he replaced the original with. I would like to get rid of either one set or the other, but I before I list them for sale, I want to know if they're even worth anything, and how much, or if I should even sell them because it might be rare to have stock wheels on my Z or stuff like that. so my freind scrashed his z a while ago, sad story but true so i decided to go take a look at it and he was willing to part ou some parts so i bought his headers 6 into one and apexi exhaust with 2.5 inch pinping straight threw...and a msd blaster coil all for the price of 149.99 =] cant wait to put this sucker on

Has anyone thought of painting a spook/spoiler with a plastic truck bedliner paint? They come in various colors. You could either keep it black, paint it the same color as the car, or go with a darker version of the car's paint. This would kind of keep it in the shadow, like the black, but give sort or a constrast to car's color. And, the paint should reduce the likelihood of chipping, cracking and abrasions. Just a thought. I saw a video on YouTube that I think is Ron Carter's BRE-Z replica? If so, what is under the hood that made it sound like that? If you guys are a fan of "Victory By Design", you are familiar with the awesome roar from the historic cars Alain de Cadenet wrings around. I swear, if I closed my eyes, that BRE-Z sounded exactly the same. My stock Z sounds like crap in comparison - my E-Type sounds so much cooler, but pales next the BRE-Z!
