My new purchase arrived today via transport truck, a 1971 240Z in Green and Butterscotch.....MY FAVORITE COLOR for the 240Z. I have always been on the look out for this color and when this one came up on Ebay I couldn't help pressing that "buy it now" button. Here's a few pictures of how it looked after it was unloaded, I havent done anything to the car yet. This will be my "winter project" and keep me occupied when the time changes and it gets dark at 6:00 pm ( I hate the time change) so I'm sure I'll be posting some more questions later. (Yes, Mike I'll also make another $$$ donation..) Quick FYI on the car: It was "restored" in 1987 and I did get all the paper wo…

This eBay ad is for a "forged metal reproduction" faceplate for a 240Z radio. I've seen this item and one for a '70 radio faceplate a couple of times recently on eBay. Anyone know who is manufacturing these? Looks very good in the pictures. --Bob

Just asking in general. I know that it would most likely take a hell of a lot of work, a lot of man hours, a lot of money and even a bit of cutting up a Z car to get everything to fit, but is AWD possible in a Z car? Like take an SR or RB motor with an AWD system (for at least the 240-280), would it be possible to get it to work? Are their any AWD Z cars floating around?

I am going to look at a 72 240Z on eBay that apparently has a 1983 F54 2.8L and a 5 speed trans. Anyone have experiences (good or bad) with this configuration? Well, I attended my first Z car club show today and had a blast...Even met a few members from Classic zcar. Here a some photos of the first Gen cars that I took. The white one is actually a low VIN car as you can see from the photos. There were several "Diamonds in the rough" and I can't wait to see these cars next year and see what progress has been made. My 73 Orange is also pictured with me standing beside it....did I win??? well, no but there's always next year. Have a good weekend everyone.......GO VOLS!! beat FLORIDA.....

Okay, so the engine isn't the one that Scarab Engineering installed, it has been "converted" to a convertible and it isn't complete. BUT, given the description and assuming it's accurate, it looks like it is definitely worth the $3000 asking price. Seems like the Chevy 350 might be worth that alone. Thoughts or opinions? I'd especially like to hear from anyone with in depth knowledge about Scarab Engineering... > Ad for "Scarab" Sale or trade for Jeep or Bronco (projects considered). This is a project car close to completion. My commuter blew up last night so I need a car. Original Scarab Z (1976) with new crate Chevy 350 engine (1991 TBI) , painless wiring harness. Re…
