I need to know which goes to the negative and which goes to the positive on the coil - the wire diagram says black/white to pos and other to neg. i tried that and when i turn key to ignition nothing happens.. tried wires other way and nothing happened. i am very close as i have power going right to the coil but not coming OUT of coil.. i checked fusable links.. all look good.. what is wrong here?? the way the wires are hooked up? or is there something else im missing?? does my car have a electronic ignition module under dash?? if …

Question: Is there a free/paid service where a currently REGISTERED Z owner can obtain all the history on on his/her own 240z down to the point of when it was first sold in the USA? Info: When it was first sold State/City Owner (maybe not due to privacy concerns-understandable) Every other time it was sold/bought/registered along with city/state. I don't think DMV in California provides that info. Or does it? Does any agency in any state do that?

I'm working on modifying my steering column to have power assist, one of the things that needs to be addressed is how the modified column attaches to the steering rack. There are some people that use a Woodward UA113109 coupler at the steering rack then replace entire OEM steering coupler from the rack to the column with a 3/4 DD rod that connects to a Saturn Vue collapsible coupler. I think that its a good approach to go that way, you have a collapsible section for the steering, in the event of a front impact that does not crush you inside the tin can, you might not get impaled.... But doing so will remove the beloved rubber/poly/solid puck from the steering couple…

I’ve been searching for salvage yards near me for 280z and found one where I picked up a few parts 2 months ago. I called the yard I went to and asked about the price for the N42 head. As some of you know I’m trying to bring my 1977 back to life and beginning to realize how hard and or expensive some parts can be. Anyway the guy told me he thinks the car was crushed. He then called me back and said it was in line to be crushed this week and I could have the head for $70 Two questions: 1) Is a N42 head worth $70? 2) what else should I grab off this car before it is finally put to death and transformed into a 2019 Kia or a Chinese bicycle. It’s sad to see these cars ge…
