I thought I'd run this by you folks, since this might be my first Z car purchase. I have a chance to buy this car for $4,500 and I wanted to see if you guys thought it was worth it. The engine was rebuilt 15,000 miles ago and a performance cam and valves were put in. There seems to be rust on the fender and door hinge. Other than that, the car looks nice, but I'm a little worried after seeing a rusted 260z last night (even the floor was rusted through). The car is in another city, so my brother and I would have to fly there and drive it back. Opinions?

YOYO Check this out ! The vey first GENERAL LEE Dodge Charger (VIN #XF29H9DI936Y0) (Serial # LEE 1) has been found and restored earlier this year :) ! ! I'm not sure if I'm seeing the VIN tag correct but I included some photos and the Link to the website. It would be cool if some one here knew how or know a person who can translate the VIN tag to see what options the Charger came with originally. I know it's not Z realated but still this is good car history here The first 3 pictures are from the same and very first jump, the one at the end of the openning credits! http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Features/articleId=119349#45 ~Z~

So I've decided to start doing some serious work on my 73 240Z, but I'm slightly overwhelmed at where to start with it. In my intro thread I list the car's background and what's been done so far: http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25801 I would like some opinions on what should be done in what order, so here's my list of things that need to be done: Carbs are running rich, maybe leaking. I can smell gas but I can't see any leaking, but it's definantly fouling the plugs. Should I try to rebuild it myself or should I just eat the $500+ and get a ztherapy set? I have round tops. All the weatherstripping needs to be replaces. When it rains it leaks wat…

Hey guys. I just bought this set of headlights . . . http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=011&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&viewitem=&item=320125114642&rd=1,1 (Ebay I know) Will, the guy who makes the headlight harness, said these are very nice and bright and make a nice difference for the price. I bought them and they are nice construction and look pretty damn clean. I was going to install them at the shop where my car is until i got there. I realized that i have no idea how to take out the old stock housings and replace them with these. I did a search and came up with . . Undo all the bolts on the inner fender where the splash …

Wondering if anyone has the MSA Mud/Splash Guards on their car and how they like them? These are the molded guards listed here: http://thezstore.com/page/TZS/CTGY/SG Not cheap for four, but maybe they would stop the occasional rock chip. Would love to see a photo of them mounted to a first gen Z to help me decide if these are something I'll want to put on the car once it gets some new paint. Thanks in advance for your pictures, opinions. Gary D.

So the car is in the paint shop. I have a day or so before the color is set in stone. I told them 113 green metallic, even though its not year correct, I have always liked the photos of the color I saw. ( I have a 1970 ) But they showed me a sample and its REALLY bright and metallic! Anyone have some good photos ( I have scoured the gallery here ) that really show how the color looks? Thanks!

All, For some reason my #6 cylinder is not firing. To start the plug is wet when pulled out after running on the remaining 5. Injector is firing, spark is good on #6, compression is at ~178-180 on all, timing is right on. All my checks so far check out but it is still not right. Any ideas how to further troubleshoot this? Thanks 76 280z Stock motor

Just a reminder on the Clocks, first one Arrived. Check the link below for updates and please delete this post if it's deemed redundant. Just thought I add a reminder thread instead of having to wade through all the post on the other. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24546 ~Z~

some friends and I were riding around in my 4X4 rocking out to Boston's first album blasting from the Craig Power Play 8-track, when we noticed some loud clacking noises from the engine. The oil light did not come on. Three quarts of oil and 2 cans of STP later, got it quieted enough to trade it in, TODAY. Went by a used car lot and out of the corner of my eye I spotted what I knew was the nose of a blue 1973 Saab Sonnett type III. I had test drove one in 1973, and really liked the looks of it. I pulled in and took a closer look only to see it was a 240Z. It looked great and we test drove it. Leaving the lot I punched it and was amaized from the power and sound it …
