I've got an import 280Z the papers say it's a 78 but can you tell from the Chassis No, my # is HGS130 001479 is there a database somewhere? It would be nice to know when ordering parts from the State if they will be correct for this car.

i am cleaning up my 76. unbolting everything and wiping everything down. this can hasnt been cleaned since at least 96. so sad. so it all looks good except for the booster and the big black bracket for the fusible links. then it begins. i could nt take it, so i took out the booster, the bracket thing, the coil and the bracket for the booster check valve. heres how the booster turned out. all i did was sand it with 180 and 400 sand paper, clean it, primer and paint it. i know its not a perfect match, but i does look really close to my 77 that is still shiney. opinions? thanks tony

hi guys.i've done the wheel option to death and i thank you all.now for the front spoiler dilema.they are alot cool z's with a more modern front spoiler or airdam's (to you u.s dude's) but is there anything out there a bit more retro and period.i know the first thing that spring's to mind is the bre spook style spoiler which i really like.however is there difference's with supplier quality because some don't look as great as others in the pics? look at the difference?is it color, angle or make?(no offence to owner of nice red zed!)

hello all my name is mark, i recently purchased my 280z last week. I think i got a good deal, it had a rebuilt motor 8k ago (no paperwork though:( ), new exhaust, new headers, cai, redone interior, everything works, from the am/fm radio to the ac system. I paid $1900 but it does have some floorpan rust issues  wheel wells are in good shape. it has some patches of rust around the car. I have been looking for one of these for a long time and i bought it locally! so heres the pics of her and yes for some reason the original owner badged it as a zx but it is not. if anybody notice anything out of place or inconsistent please let me know.

I just changed out the oil on an older L24 (car mfg. 02/1971). The engine has been sitting for the last 20 years, it's not frozen, and I've been going thru the process of putting MMO / Seafoam / ATF in the cylinders to free things up... now time for a change out of the old stuff.... (Whew, it was just plain nasty!) Anyway, to the point.... It was a joy not having to crawl around on the ground; the drain plug is on the 'side' of the pan, just about immediately under the oil filter, but maybe a bit forward from that. I just put my catch pan under the filter as usual and dropped the filter drainage there, then pulled the plug and drained it into the pan where it was sittin…
