Floor jack 1 2

The floor jack finally gave up so time to shop. I'm thinking a 1.5 ton would do it since the Z32 is the heaviest of the bunch. Also lots of variation in price between brands of the same capacity. Any advice on which ones to stay away from and would a 1.5 ton be enough in anyones experience?

Im thinking about buying a Datsun 1973 240z. It has a 327 v-8 with a 350 turbo automatic w/a shift kit. The engine has 8,000 miles on it, the car has 67,000 miles. Says theres no rust and the paint is in good condition. It has a custom rear and front bumpers. I think the fuel pump is messed up, because the person that owns it said it only starts when you put fuel in the carburetor and theirs a leak in one of the tiers. Other then that it runs fine. Any way he is asking for $6400 for it, and I was wondering if thats a good deal. Also what should I look for when I check out the car in person.

I purchased some clear plastic headlight covers for my Z last year and am finally looking at installing them. Unfortunately, the fit is not that great . There seem to be many gaps I can't close. Has anyone had any luck with a good fit? Can you get the nice chrome-trimmed ones anywhere that fit more securely? Appreciate the feedback!

Ok, now that I have your attention! I have a Rally clock, that is missing a knob! I have recieved good information from Zclocks that the knob off the 280ZX digital clock is similar, and it is. (I have a bunch of new ones if anyone needs one) The attatchment screw, however, isn't even close! The rally clock Fastener is a standard slotted 1.37mm in diameter(the threaded area) with .3mm thread pitch 8.04mm in lenght overall including a 3.15mm shoulder I have been hunting a similar screw on the internet and locally for several days and am no closer than I was the day I bought the clock. If you have a spare, or a good lead where one that fits could be found, I WOULD GREATLY …

I have searched site for information on availability of retractable seat belts for my 1973 Fairlady 240Z - but no real luck. Can someone guide me to a source for a set of new retractable belts to suit this car. I have tried Australian suppliers, without success. The main reason for wanting to fit them is for better safety and comfort. I was able to fit them to my 1953 Chevrolet about 15 to 16 years ago!! I look forward to some help. Thank you. Regards, Jack

Do any of you know the type of rubber/material used for the hardline supports on the 240zs? The reason I ask is because I am investigating the possibility of having these parts reproduced. My wife works for an import/export company that specializes in rubber, plastic and metal parts. She has an extensive contact list of manufacturing facilities in China that she deals with on a daily basis. I have already done the hard part - sourcing. I just need to run down the material type. I am looking at having them produced from an oil-resistant rubber. If any of you know the material type, that would be great. My wife and I have talked and she is optimistic that we could t…

Hi All. I have been driving my car lately, and am starting to worry about theft. I don't want to use an igntion cutout., as a smart theif could just pop the hood and use jumpers to start the car. I am thinking about getting a Club. From what I can determine there are two types: one locks across the steering wheel, the other connects the clutch or brake pedal to the steering wheel. What do ya'll think? Which is better? My only negative thoughts about these devices is that a thief could just unbolt or cut the steering wheel.

Good Buy? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So here's the deal It's a 1973 240z with ironically 240,000 miles on it Its got a little quarter sized rust on the bottom of the drivers side door and underneath the rear hatch but the entire frame is rust free Engine had a complete rebuild 5,000 miles ago and a rebuilt 5 speed replaced the four speed two years ago Replacing the current carbs with rebuilt 72's It needs a new rear end soon that sounds way worse becuase of the current carbs that are on and off switches, made the car feel really sloppy, but I also dont have a lot of experience the car and maybe one of the things you g…

So I was working on my wiring in the hatch today, when I pulled off the passengers side panel to reveal a plastic container with a bunch of hoses on it. Is that a charcoal canister?... should it be inside the passenger compartment? Also, it appears my awesome previous owner has replaced a wheel stud with a standard one some time ago... .really annoying cause there is only one nut that must go on that stud.... What is the proper standard size to replace this. Thanks, Adam by the way its my 71 240z
