So I just put together my P90 head (rocker, lash pads, cam) its off the car right now and I was setting the cold valve lash .010 exaust .008 intake. so thats all set, my question is why are hot valve settings bigger than cold. with the cam hot, the metal expands, making the cam closer to the rockers so then why would the gap be bigger than when they are cold set. shouldn't the hot setting be the smaller gap and the cold be the larger gap. What am I missing? I've hot set my Valves on my N42 several times so I know how to do it, but this is just bugging me. Thanks for the info, Matt

I was watching Annie Hall in HD and in one scene I noticed an early 240z drive by. It was an orange car and took particular notice of the color of the rear tail light panel. Now I think the movie was filmed sometime in the 70s not sure what year. The panel looked about the same color as the hub caps. So there might go my theory about it being lighter. I put the movie on pause and sure enough it was sort of dark. Unless of course it was refinished or the car was hit and repaired. In the same scene Diane Keaton got in to her 260z and drove off. The 260 was gold. The car looked brand new. Anyway just thought I would mention it. Probably doesn't mean a whole hell of a lot. I …

The pricing between MSA and Black Dragon for rubber gaskets looks a little one sided. I'm after the rear brake light cluster and front indicator gaskets for my 240z. Has anyone here purchased them from BD and been dissapointed? Are the gaskets that MSA sell "Genuine Nissan"? Cheers James

I have a 1978 280, I purchased it for $3200 from cali, and it has 110000mi. on it and it had a rebuilt engine within 500 miles before I purchased it. So far I painted it put new seats and complete stereo. My question is how much is too much to invest in these cars? I want to know where is the breaking point of putting too much money and not getting anything in return? Thanks guys

I'm thinking about possibly buying one of these sometime down the road as they would seem to prove quite usefull for holding your drink and such. I was curious if any of you bought these for your Z, what you thought of them, if you would buy it again and also how they mount to your center console. Thanks for your opinions! http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/CARWCH/50-2570 http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/IA27/50-2580 This looks interesting too

Hey everybody, I know we all despise sunroofs, but I have one that I just pulled out of my '72. The glass and handle are in great condition, the trim was painted black but you could clean it back up. Make me an offer, I want it gone. Its taking up room. Thanks.
