I'm looking for a '73 240Z Factory Service Manual. Up to now, I've been using a Haynes book.. -.- Worst damn book I've ever read, though I guess it might have helped if I was from Britain. It doesn't have to be in 'perfect' condition. Just still legible and with all the pages. =P Feel free to PM me or just respond here. Thanks everyone!

Hello all noobie here. I am looking at an 82 280ZX with 160000 miles for $700. The car runs well but lacks power, like its starving for air (Intake Problem). there is rust around the drivers and passenger floor boards with what appears to be an attempt to fix with fiber glass and putty. there is some rust around the rear wheel wells and on the frame under the doors. My question is is this car worth $700? Nick

For fun today, I pulled some old pictures out of my 280z that I thought you guys might enjoy seeing. Some are of the first day we brought it home, some are of the work in progress and there's a few random ones in there too. The quality of these photo's are really bad because they are a picture of a picture. Enjoy-- The Ebay auction for it, one it for $500 and was ten hours away Loading it onto the U-Haul dauly Listening to her fire up for the very first time, ran horribly though and hardly had enough power to get up onto the trailer, had to get a small run at it Finally got her home after ten hours of driving later, you can see the front end damage that it had…

I'm not real big into 2+2 Z's, but I hardly hear of them spoken of on here and see them in the gallery and was kind of curious how many of you own one?

There is a lot of discussion in the forums about removing the smog/emission control equipment. Here in the Netherlands there is no need for this equipment on our classic cars. So I would like to remove all of it (maybe except for the gas-vapour tank). I have been searching the forums for a 'work-list' or 'check-list' with steps in the apropriate order to take the system off of the engine. Is it possible for someone on the list who has experience in taking these items off to compile a detailed plan on how to tackle this job?

This is my first time posting. I have been a steady reader for a long time, however. What do you guys think of this car? What do you think it is worth? Here is the link. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1970-Datsun-240Z-Series-1_W0QQitemZ150100387710QQcategoryZ6187QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Have any of you seen it in person? Is it as nice as the photos appear (as well as the photos he sends when you request)? Thank you for any input you may offer.

I have only been into Z=cars for about 5 years. I have owned and driven on the road one 240, two 260s and four 280s during this time. Now I am down to a 73 240, 74 260, 75 280 and a 77 280. Looking on Ebay tonight I saw one I have never heard of, thought maybe someone could fill me in on it. The ad read like this with a lot of description. 73 240 RB26Dett project - N1 turbos. It said it was about 75% done with over 16000.00 invested and the starting bid was 9999.00. There were a lot of pictures. Just curious. Michael
