Hi, In the long quest to get my z on the road, i've run into a leaky fuel tank. I went underneath and found half of the tank covered in fiberglass. This made it nearly impossible to find the leak, since the fibreglass diffused the gas nicely to make it drip from the entire bottom of the tank. I decided the best idea was to rip off the fiberglass, which was easy... too easy. I found moisture (gas) and rust under the glass. I am planning on (i know this is the wrong thing to do, but im very tight on cash) fixing up the hole I found with JB Weld or Seal All. Any recommendations on this? Will this pass safety in ontario? I do plan on sealing it properly in the long ru…

Hey all! I have a '71 240Z (10/70 build). I bought it in August 2006. It has 102,000 orig. miles and I am the fourth owner. The second and third owner probably only put a total of a couple thousand miles on her combined. The original owner was at least a Z enthusiast as he was a member of the ZCCA. It came from the factory painted silver and the original owner had her painted red (NOT a quality paint job, but good enough to keep her mostly protected from the elements.) I want to start at least a "refresh", but I do not like to half-arse anything so I am having a hard time deciding how far to go with it. Folks, I was going to start putting the weather stripping back on the doors today (I just got my car back from paint several weeks ago) and just noticed that there is a one piece "something" that goes all around the door frame. It's not Rubber, but it came right off. I'm assuming that the body shop pulled all the rubber weather stripping, but this piece was left on. I pulled it off..both sides, and cleaned all around the edging. My question is what is this piece?...Is it still available? Mine are in decent shape so should I just reuse them. Also any tips on applying the rubber would be appreaciated. If I have not explained this well enough let me know and I'll try…

I got a couple sets of replacement wiper boots through eBay, and both sets dried out & crumbled after a few months. Is that correct, or did I get some junk? I think it wuld be nice to get a set in silicone. thx

Hi Friends, Please Help If you can ! ! A quick question. I think I found the right 1st gen Z for my to buy. I live in California and I was wondering if there are any fees associated with a NON OP Z that does not have any back fees. It sounds like I can make a deal with the seller but do not know how much it will cost to get it registerd with Cali DMV. The Z is solid with no Floor, Frame or inner body rust but has been on a NON OP (NON OPERATIONAL) since it was stored as Resto / Project car.
