They're way out of my price league but if you were looking to get a set and maybe save some money in the process some folks over at HybridZ are trying to get a group buy together. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=119260&highlight=watanabe

Hey guys, Look at these cool instruments. They are digital and I think they would work on Datsun Z cars. So if your old ones ever break and you want to upgrade here you go! I might be considering blue ones for mine.... Tell me what you guys think. http://www.veisystems.com/instruments.html -Dylan -78' 280Z

Im trying to figure out the production date on my '73. The plate on the door is missing and I have searched this forum extensively, but to no avail. I found a replacement plate for the door, but it is good for only production dates from 1970 to 1972, not 1973. The vin is hls30 127515 and the motor number is l24 134067. The engine bay tag is still there, however and the numbers match what I have. I went to zhome page but could not find the answer. Thanks for your help. Chuck

It's a long story, and a very genuinely sad one, and you guys don't really know me so I won't go into all the details, but suffice to say that I lost a very dear friend over the weekend. My association between him and my Z is huge, and I don't think I can bear working on the car without him, I just want it to go to a good home where it will be loved. I am not going to do anything immediately, I may have a change of heart, but for the moment, I need a project and something else to talk about, so I thought I would hit you all up for some advice. I'll try to avoid a wall of text, so I'll list the vitals, there are pics in my gallery. The car is cosmetically outstanding. T…

Hey guys. I'm currently scanning my 1972 FSM for a club cd but the front cover is torn in half. If anyone has a 1972 240z FSM (the gold cover) can you please scan the front cover for me. I'd prefer a color .pdf, but even a jpg will do. Thanks, Zak

I have a '73. The ID Tag on the inside of the drivers door is missing. The vin number on the dash is missing (I accidently threw it away when replacing the Dash) - long story. The motor numbers match the id tag in the engine bay and on the title, and from what I remember the vin on the dash was the same. The question that I have is, is the car worth a complete restore? I have already done the body and interior. She runs really strong, but I need to replace or fix most of the suspension and steering. She only has 115k miles on her. Am I in a pickle or what? In other words I am almost finished with her and I can not find the ID plate or the vin tag. I recently wen…

I bought my car sight unseen and it turned out somewhere along the lines prior owners had removed the door jamb VIN plate as well as the engine compartment ID plate. You can read all about it here if you are really bored.... http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19336 I have purchased replacements from Banzai Motorworks and need some advice on how to attach them to the car. I think it is done with smal metal rivets. Where would you get these rivets and how do you attach them? Don't worry - I am not trying to pull a fast one and modify VIN numbers. The firewall VIN is clearly stamped and since that was the only VIN I have a state issued VIN on the title an…

i bought a 76 280 today, so that makes, 8, no 9 z cars i now have. anyway the 76 is very clean, no frame rust anywhere. it only has minor surface rust on the body from where the orginal paint was peeling. the entire car is 100% stock, from cali(still has the cat on it) and everything works, except the clock. even the big arse bumpers are in great shape. it has 98000 original miles(not flipped). once i clean it up, and perhaps put on a fresh coat of orginal metallic green, you will see in the classifieds. but if our looking for a 76, let me know before i paint it, and i will sell it cheaper. tony
