Hello Everyone: The following note is from Gayle Brock, Peter's wife: I forward it to you with her permission. Carl B. Gayle writes: "Sat January 20th, while shooting SCORE’s season opening off-road race in Laughlin, NV, Peter was hit by an off-road vehicle that went off course. The upper part of his right leg was hit by the front tire of the vehicle, he did a 360 degree backward flip landing face down in the dirt and his right foot/ankle were then run over by the vehicle’s rear tire. Other photographers in the area and the SCORE rescue team were onsite within seconds. Thanks to help from Mark Post of the Riviera team and a recommendation from the Herbst family of the…

Got the motor running and all dialed in, cleaned out the interior and made up a nice list of things to do for it. The project is mostly interior, exterior, brakes and suspension as of now. Then after that, I am going to get myself into some even bigger projects that will make the car go just all the more faster. All I have left to get for the motor is a K&N air filter, FlameThrower coil and ngk wires.

I am finally getting around to posting the pictures of my gas tank back from restoration. I took it to a Gas Tank Renu place south of Indianapolis. I am glad to have it back and in good shape but it wasn't quite what I was expecting. I thought it would be some kind of powder coating process but it is a thick tar like substance baked on. It just doesn't look as clean but it is a gas tank after all. The first two are before pics of the outside and the inside. The last two are obviously after pics. What you can't see in the before picture are the many small pin holes in the bottom. Carl

First of all let me say that I'm new to this club and I think it's great that everyone helps one another with their Z's. After all, we all love our Z's. Anyway, I don't know much about cars but am learning everyday reading these threads. I'm sure this one has been covered before but can't find it right now. I own a '73 240z that I'm fixing up and just recently bought a L28 280z long block for it. As far as I know the 280z engine will fit in the 240 with no problems, right? Also, I want to make it a 5 speed so I've read that you can put in a 280zx tranny into it as well. Is that right? I called a guy who supplies them and he said they may have shorten the Drive Li…

Video link that was forwarded to me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=abqJ9Hc9l90 Bit long (7:43) and somewhat repetitious, but very nice view of the ZG on the road. Good tunes though. Sent to me by another Z enthusiast in Australia. E

Now that I have some new gaskets for my front blinkers on my 280Z is there any product that I can put on to replace that dull reflective mirror paper behind the lens? Is there a name for that stuff? Its about an inch wide four inches long and needs to tolerate the heat from the bulb. Thanks

What in the world would you need Watanabes like this. And without power steering those fronts have to be rough ! :cheeky: Oh yeah, by the way, 60,000 Yen is about $536 U.S.D. http://translate.google.com/translate?sourceid=navclient&hl=en&u=http%3a%2f%2fpage10%2eauctions%2eyahoo%2eco%2ejp%2fjp%2fauction%2fm40497555 ~Z~

Just wondering if anyone knew of any JY 240's in the Central FL area. I once knew of a JY in Sanford which was full of 240's. It has been so long since I visited it I forgot where it was. Does anyone remember this one? Thanks, Jim

On what years did the G-nose come factory. I'm pretty sure they only came on 240z's, but my friend keeps telling me they came on the early 260z's as well. Can any of you clear this up for me?
