Does anybody happen to know the correct name for the original underpadding in the series 1,2 and 3 Z cars. Maybe the stuff was used even after the series 3. That's the brown underpadding that can be seen under the seats and under the carpeting. I thought it was called Jute so I googled it to see if I can find a vendor that would sell a roll of it but the stuff I came up with doesn't look like the stuff that crumbled in my hands when I tore out the interior of my car. This stuff was so old it just disintegrated. If anyone knows the name of the stuff that would be great. I thought maybe hemp but when I googled that I got pot, weed, reefer, blunts, and some other stuff on …

Heh Guys it's been a while since I have posted on the club but I have been real busy getting ready to start my restoration.I wanted to make sure I had all I need so I wont get distracted so I took a mig welding class and got me a welder.I picked up every tool I can possibly think of and have 3 large buildings to work in. I designed and built what I think is the perfect rotiserie.I spend at least 3 hrs A night welding and perfecting my hap hazzard ways of doing things and to quit taking short cuts.It is time to quit stalling and start working on the cars. Man, let it idle for a good 10 to 15 minutes and then took it for a spin. Man, I am going to love this car so much. I have no clue how long it has been sitting, I know of at least a year, but this thing purrs like a kitten. Spent two days replacing some stuff. Hoses, fluids, washers, bolts, battery, filters. Tried getting it to run, but there was no fuel in the fuel lines at all, so I had to keep the motor running by squirting fuel from a windex bottle into one of the carbs for like 10 minutes until the fuel finally made it through the lines. Then it was all golden from there. One carb, I think 1 through 3 is running rich, and the second carb seems to be a' ok from…

Hi Guy's There's a Datsun 510 on Craig's for sale.... With winter here I've got cabin fever something bad... ready to go crazy if I don't find something to keep me occupied... I originally was looking for a Porsche 914, or a 944 to dink around with... and than I started to think about maybe doing an engine swap on the 240.... Maybe a massaged 2.8, or may be a stroker 3.0. Hello, after serious thought i've decided to restore my 260z 2+2. although i need to find another shell, as mine has been bent badly in the rear quarter and being a 2+2 there easier to find in australia. If anyone knows of a good shell that hasn't got to much rust and is'nt bent i would be more than interested.
