HI FOLKS TRIED THE SEARCH ENGINE AND CAME UP EMPTY. I SAW ON EBAY A FEW MONTHS AGO A 1970-1973 JDM FAIRLADY Z 5 Speed Close Ratio Manual Transmission but i can't remember what tha 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and Final Drive Gear Ratios were. He had them listed but i can't seem to find it in my saved emails file. I'm trying to see what the set up be like on my New Old Stock R180 4.37 diff from Datsun Competion in a 1970 L24. Please help if any one would know. Also is a 1980 ZX engine faster at top speed than a L24? Thyanx guys! ~Z~

Well my tachometer redlines at 7k rpm. I think that this is some aftermarket tach. Isnt the redline of the L24 E31 motor 6k rpm with the powerband topping out at 5.6k rpm? I just want to make sure that it is a 6k rpm redline just so that I dont kill the motor thinking that I can take it up to 7k rpm.

I have an early '72 I'm redoing & a late '70 for parts. Some time ago, I removed my fuel lines from the tank to the front & lost them. I thought I wouldn't have a problem because I'd just pull them off of my '70, which leads to my question: The '70 only had two hard fuel lines, that would reach back to the fuel tank. I only "remember" taking two off of my '72, the same two I had on my '70. The one I am missing, according to the microfiche, it says "Tube-Air Supplier," #8 (can't copy just the page to show, Sec 15-2) & goes to the front, across the firewall, & into the carb area. Hey folks, I have searched Courtsey, Blackdragon, and Too Intense, (couldn't search Motorsports the search feature was down) but I can't find the Rubber seal or gasket that goes around the rear taillight assembly. Car is in the shop being painted, and I have all the rubber and seals except for these pieces. It is just one piece per light I'm assuming. I'm also hoping it will help with what little exhuast is coming through as well. What is the proper termanology used for this seal, and who has them. Thanks Randy

Is there a Z store or junk yard around here? I need like lot of stuff, but I dont have time to order what I need online. By the time the stuff gets here, I will be back in Tennessee. I know that there are a few of you who live around here that I can get help from if needed and tools too, but right now all I need to know is if any of you have a bunch-o of parts. Like I need a bunch of little stuff. All the big things need to wait for the interior because I need to get a vinyl interior kit, and I am going to do that before I put in my carpet kit and new seats put in. I've been spending quite a bit of time trying to find pictures of the "ugly" orange 240z that had flares but then it had honda offset rims on it so it looked stupid. the guy kept trying to sell it on ebay, and there was atleast one thread about it, but all my searches dont help me come across it any help would be great as i'm concidering painting my car with a similar colour scheme and am pretty sure i'll regret it

What is the last date of production for a particular year for early Zs. Example: My 73 has a date of 7/73 with a Vin number starting at 170. On the Zhome register my car is the last 73 listed that is stateside. I am also curious about 1978s as well. I looked around for vin number dates of production on the net but could not find anything.

Does anyone know how to shrink a floor pan when it's buckling. When I get in the car and put my feet down on the drivers side it buckles. Someone told me it needs shrinking. I think the floor pans although they were installed properly by the person that sold the car to me are aftermarket and not original. Please chime in and if you don't know could you give me some names and email addresses of some people in FLA I could email. Does anyone know of anybody near Boca Raton. I can travel with the car as far as Orlando or maybe Tampa area. Thanks

Does anyone know where I could have the tank from my '73 reconditioned? Anyone have one for sale? The tank's tubes ended-up clogged beyone repair and were damaged when I tried to clean them out. I recall Motorsport used to send tanks out for reconditioning, but not anymore. Thanks.
