Hi all, Just came home from Costco and found a package which contained the new MSA 2007 Calendars. What surprised me is that my 1975 280Z is the January car!!! http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/MA11/50-2000 Maybe this means that 2007 is gonna be a better year for me than 2006!! Hope every one has a safe and happy New Year! Cat:beard:

I was curious what the fuel tank capacity is on a 1976 280z? I think I heard that it was 17 gallons but was curious if this was correct.

The heater control panel in a '73 240Z is backlit. The green tinted portion of the hcp is lit on each side by a light bulb. There are two rubber surrounds that keep the light from the bulbs from illuminating the inside and underneath of the dash. The two I have taken out are pretty well dryrotted, and I have been searching for the part numbers for them for several days. I was able to find one, but not the other. I have been through the club fische, the 260/240 USA/Canada parts manual, and Nissan FAST. The dealer has told me (incorrectly) that these parts were not from a 240Z. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I will take and post some pics tomorrow-dead batteri…

As we all know, rust-free 240 project cars (or Zs with very little rust) are getting harder and harder to find these days. Here are 4 projects in California that claim to be rust-free currently listed on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1972-Datsun-240Z_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ6783QQihZ014QQitemZ330068310216QQrdZ1 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Datsun-Z-Series-1972-Datsun-240-Z_W0QQitemZ120069628583QQihZ002QQcategoryZ6187QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Datsun-1972-Super-Clean-Rust-Free-240Z-missing-parts_W0QQitemZ140067685280QQihZ004QQcategoryZ6187QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1972-DATSUN-240Z-240-Z_W0QQi…

I am having a lot of trouble locating a windshield for a friends Black Pearl resto. No one seems to be able to locate one. Are they still available? Anyone have a lead on a good one? I'm in NJ so please take shipping into account. Thanks! Joe

Well, today was another day. I decided to give it one more go, before driving the car into the ocean and lo and behold, it's running well at 5 degrees BTDC and dwell at 37 degrees! I don't know what I did differently, but it seems to be running well. One thing I did notice, it that it doesn't like to idle for any length of time with the hood up. The temp climbs about 3/4's of the way up, but this seems to be only happening when I'm working on it with the hood up. Sitting at lights or just sitting with the hood closed, it's only a bit past the middle. So, looking a gift horse in the mouth, I've got one more question. I'm out of advance adjustment on the distributor. It's m…

Just got back from a great cruise through the beautiful Smokey Mountains, (not to rub it in but were having another 62 degree day here in East Tennessee). The Z did GREAT!! Anyway I pulled in the driveway and thought I would snap some pictures since the car was already clean. Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Happy New Year. Randy

I figured that I would go ahead and buy an original radio for the Z. Found a nice AM on ebay a few weeks ago and bought it. The box arrived on Monday and when I opened it with great expectations, they were dashed upon the rocks. The journey took its toll. The face plate was broken in two places. The radio was not packed as it should have been. I submitted a claim to DHL but haven't heard back from them yet. Now I have a radio but no face plate.:disappoin ANybody have an extra faceplate they wish to part with?

I can not believe my luck. For the last couple years I have been looking for an early 240Z to go along with my KGC10. Now I have found it. Also comes with 2 others. Last night I dragged home the first one. A build date of 1/71. Has the rear vented hatch, no vents in the rear pillar, runs and no rust. I got burned on a purchase while I was in Al. Had to junk the car so I have learned the hard way when it comes to rust problems. Simply amazing. Car came from NM originally. Last few years it has been in Las Vegas. So not much rain has even had a chance at it. Get this....No undercoating is sprayed on the car....Second car that I will be getting this morning is a…

Well, as most of you know, I had to put my 1972 Datsun 240Z away for good after I jumped a curb and seperated the unibody. It was a sad day. If you've seen my previous thread, you know how much hard work I put into that car to get it onto the street. I've put it behind me now, I've started parting out the car, and will most likely sell the shell. Onto the good news. Last night, around midnight, my new project came via tow truck from Marysville. A 1971 Datsun 240Z! I payed $935 for her, plus $90 for the tow truck, and boy was I happy. She is build date 10/70 and #HLS3012185. I got the car from David (Zs-Ondabrain), and we've got some plans for the car in the future, and I…

i am looking at buying my first Z car. Its a 1970 240 with the 5 speed out of a '76 260. Clean car, marginal rust, rebuilt head. I have a couple questions that I hope you guys can answer for me. Was there a difference between the Canadian and US delivered vehicles. Also, how many of you use your Z as a daily driver. Is this a realistic expectation for a vehicle in good condition.
