Hey folks, I hope you guys arn't getting tired of me asking so many questions. I am learning from everything ya'll post so it really is helping. I am just so excited about my car that I can't stop tinkering with it, and each day brings more questions. This is my 3rd 240Z, however I was much younger when I owned my other two, and it was before the computer age, so this forum has been GREAT. So here goes: 1. I have a complete set of weatherstripping for the car, on a scale of 1 to 10what is the difficultly level. Are there any secrets or tips for installing the new or taking off the old? 2. I noticed today...(I went on a 40 mile cruise) that the shifter is making a noi…

I currently own a 1971 240Z. Prior to this I have had and still have MGB's. With an MGB you can write to the British Motor Heritage Trust, and for a fee get a certificate that tells you how your car looked when it was made. Exterior color, interior color, any factory installed options, etc. Is there anything available for the early Z's? Is it as simple as going to a dealership and running the VIN? My 1967 MGB was red with a black interior when I bought it and it's history shows that it was black with a red interior, white wall tires, and a luggage rack when it left the factory in Abingdon. It also gives you the chassis number, engine number and drivetrain number in…

**Although none of us want to pollute this is good news for me since I struggle to pass with my Z** Emissions-test exemption for collector cars gets OK Bob Golfen The Arizona Republic Dec. 22, 2006 12:00 AM The federal Environmental Protection Agency has approved Arizona legislation that will exempt collectible cars and trucks from emissions testing in Maricopa and Pima counties. The action will allow vehicles 15 years or older to skip emissions for registration but only if they are bona fide show cars or hobbyist items that carry collector-car insurance, which limits annual mileage and restricts use. In reaching approval, the EPA agreed with findings from the Arizona…

I just bought THE last 240Z front bumper in the US from Nissan. Thanks to a suggestion from Carl Beck (in another post), I decided to see what bumpers may be available and get them while I could. The rear bumpers are NLA, but Courtesy Nissan was showing the front bumper as being available, so I ordered it online. The next day the folks at Courtesy Nissan called to let me know the computers were showing exactly one left, and they weren't 100% sure it was actually available. Once they were able to confirm it they called again and let me know it was on it's way. The whole time I was worried that the bumper would get bent, scuffed... whatever, on it's way. (I learned to not …

Well, I finally got the steelies back on the 240 today, I think it looks much better. I'll be getting rid of the wheels and tires that were on it if anyone has an intrerest. Here's a before and after picture. Also here's some pictures of the wheels I'll be selling, look in the classifieds for more info, or shoot me PM. On a side note my B-quiet will be here tomorrow so hopefully I'll get the interior done this week. I'll post some pics when I'm done. Take care all. Randy

http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/car/246877141.html. Looks like they want to hear offers over $3000. http://www.imagestation.com/7549468/3953976993 And some photos posted in an album by a ZDriver member. It's one of the gold ones several clicks in. I don't see it on the ZHome registry, so I thought I'd mention it. http://www.imagestation.com/album/pictures.html?id=2098258011&code=25666880&mode=invite&DCMP=isc-email-AlbumInvite

Hey folks, I would just like to know what some of you are using on your 240 for oil and filter, and what kind of gas you are using, 87,89,93 octane. I am not asking what is the "best" I just want to know from you all that have owned 240's for awhile what your using. I have no clue what I'm going to use yet as my car has only been here 1 week, so any feedback would be appreaciated. Thanks, Randy
