In another thread someone had asked me the question about "roundtop or flattop" I know the 73's carbs were crap, and the current carbs on my 1973 are the "better" ones, but could they be original? My car is titled as a 73, and the vin plate shows 9/72, so could these be the original carbs, or do you think they were replaced. I would think if it was being sold as a 73 it couldnt have the older carbs, or am I wrong....just curious.

The Stop Clock (Part # 27385 E4100) is not working in my 1973 Fairlady 240Z. I wonder if the Oscillator (Part # 27395 E4100) may not be working. I have not been able to locate parts or find some help on this one. Has anyone got any ideas or working Oscillator or Stop Clock?? Regards Jack

I was curious why the valve covers for these cars were made with a third hole? Yes, two out of the three are used for the wire looms, but what is the the third one for torwards the back of the valve cover?

This rust-free Southern California '72 would make a great restoration project: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1972-Datsun-240Z_W0QQitemZ200051591386QQihZ010QQcategoryZ6187QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I have decided to sell another one of my 280Z's in order to devote more time and resources to the other Z cars in the fleet. I have owned this one the longest of all the cars in the fleet (December 1998) and have driven it the least: about 200 miles! In case anyone's counting this is the thrid S30 I have put up for sale since the summer. This one is: HLS30-448652 02/78 The ad is here if anybody cares: http://www.classiczcars.com/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=1478&cat=all Hopefully someone from this community will end up giving her a good home. I also need the parking space! BTW, the price is negotiable. :disappoin

#490, built in 11/69 was just listed on Ebay and is a V8 conversion that needs a lot of work. But, at least it's a California car, so hopefully it doesn't have much rust. Are there any good Z magazines or general sports car restoration publications anyone could suggest? I've been looking in bookstores lately and can't seem to find anything even close...would be nice to have some real car magazines to read once in a while

Some of you may remember me posting that I have been trying to get some 240Z shirts (a caricatured version of a red Z) printed to try to earn some money for my 'Buy-a-Z' fund, and they are finally getting printed! My original order of 50 are supposed to be in the mail back to me by this Friday, December 15th, and hopefully the PO will be able to get them here fairly quickly despite the Christmas mailing rush. If it's okay with the management of this site, I would like to post more info (like a pic and purchase info) when they arrive. Thanx, -Mikey

Check out the body work done on this 260z. It looks like somebody took their hack saw to it and went to town, it's ubelievable especially around the fender wells. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1974-DATSUN-260Z-ORIGINAL-DAILY-DRIVER-RAT-ROD-RESTORE_W0QQitemZ120061558324QQihZ002QQcategoryZ6187QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
