I finally got to see the episode, "Hard work pays off" that covered the Walter Mitty Historic Sports Car Race event back in April. I'm not sure when it was first broadcast but they're showing reruns of it a few times this week. I'm not sure about other providers but DirecTV showing it again tonight at midnight. The first minute or two of the show provides footage from the event including a drive-by of the Georgia Z Club tent where my car was parked.

Can you get a replacement for the plastic pushrod/cable that's in the 280Z power antenna? Mine broke right at the reel. I could possibly splice it with some brass tubing & GOOP. I'm still cleaning the insides, and if the motor works, I'll want to put a new cable into it, and an Up/Down switch at the radio. Also, how can you get the mast out of the housing, if I need to? There were two screws going through the housing & mast, and after removing those, it seems the mast is stuck or rusted in. I can get some photos. thx

I hear a lot about a diesel crank for N/A motors and it increasing the engines displacement. Is this thing just for L28 n/a motors, or could I look into this for a L24 motor? Also, even if just for the L28 motor, other then displacement increase (any noticable HP gains?), what are the other added benefits of a diesel crank?

Well, as most of you know the frame rail broke on my 240Z. I'm going to be parting out the car because it's going to be cheaper in the long run to buy another 240Z and start over. Can anybody help me out?

This car wasn't running when I bought it, because the carbs were leaking fuel badly and were removed and partially disassembled (according to PO). While it's taken me longer than expected (work, honey-do's, etc), I've finally gone through the carbs and set the adjustment all the way in and 3ea turns out, can not do synch yet. I'm now ready for an official first start of a car that hasn't been started in about 1.5yrs. I'll be removing the plugs, squirting oil in the cyl, removing the vlv cover, and liberally coating the vlv train in oil. I did the above when I first checked out the eng. to ensure she wasn't siezed, she's not. So, can ya'll suggest any other things to do f…

Hey everyone. Bought my 1973 240z Nov 26, 2006. I bought it as a rolling chasis. It had a v8 placed but removed when I bought it. My plans for it will come next year, as for now I will either sand it and primer so the rust doesnt spread and eat through the metal. Heres how it is in my barn. (56k bewarey)

Tranny needs new synchros... decided just to pull the whole engine, and clean all the rubing compound out of the engine compartment (it got in there after the paint job)... I'm also cleaning and repainting the engine..

the other day my rear end broke on me it didnt bust completely but it locks up on me when im turning at speeds slower than 10 mph and you also feel this bang coming from the rear end like if some one plowed right into my baby ...i lifted my car from the rear end to check it and surely enough it was my rear end ...now i need to get another one or repair the one that i have im not a mechanich but i am good at installing and taking off parts ..so now i need anyones help on trying to find a good rear end to take place of my posi trac ......me and my z would greatly apreciate it thanks

:knockedou I just would like to know who's using their 240Z automatic for week-end race. After all weren't all the “Chaparal� auto box. How is it on the track... If you have enough power, could it be torquy(?) enough to be efficient on a track session? I am big Kart fan and... and most of them have no gear box. So I am thinking that with BIG (read strong, nor enormous) braking power and a good susp. set-up it could be good fun the keep up with the 5 spd box, no? My 0,1 cts of euro
