Hello, I have a question for some classic zcar enthusiasts. I understand location is a component of value for a pre-owned vehicle as well as condition, mileage, age, etc. Generally speaking, how do prices vary in differnet parts of the country for pre-owned vehicles? How does it vary by specific vehicle? Thank you.

Hi. I just wanted to post some photos from my recent trip to the ZCarGarage here in the Bay Area. I'm sure many of you are familiar with this shop, the owner Rob, and what kind of work they do. I was introduced to the shop by a local who knows the shop very well, and he highly recommended them to me. So, I have my 72 240Z at the shop right now, and I will have some work done by him. But I wanted to post some photos that I took while I was over there. Here you go, and enjoy!

I thought it might be fun to have a poll to see how often we all drive our Z cars. Since my 280z is my first car, I do drive it everyday.

Anyone know a source for passenger side mirrors? 70-71 stock mirror? I know they make them because one of the guys here has one on his 70 Z. I would think they would be available in Japan. Anyone have a source or webpage for these mirrors?

Just venting to you guys, because most of you would probably understand. Got my 72 240Z and spent the last several months rebuilding the engine, working on the interior and doing a little body. When I got her I was surprised at the condition of the body. Except for a few little dings and my daughter's bike slamming into the driver's door the body was straight. Minimal rust even in the problem areas. By word of mouth I found a guy locally that does great work and has done several show cars and he agreed to do the clean up bodywork, final prep and paint on my Z. I dropped her off on July the 17th and told him specifically that I wanted to enter my Z in a car show in I…

Well I have always been curious. How much psi is the stock 280z Turbo pushing and what is the maximum psi on the border line of danger for the stock turbo?

I was curious if any of you have heard or have seen anybody that has put a 350z drivetrain into first generation Z? I'm sure it would require a lot work, but have been curious if any of you knew if it's been done or tried.

With sticking with carbs on the L24, what can the performance be increased too? I know that if I picked up an L28E/T or EFI my 240, the possibilities are almost endless, but I dont want to do that and I am not sure much if any about carb limitations. I am wanting to get at least 200hp out of the engine as cheap as possible. I am also looking at one day getting triple 45/50mm carbs, but I have heard from some people that it makes little difference for the amount of money that you throw into them. I know that I could bore/stroke out the L24 to a 2.8L, and with some mods get a bit above 200hp, but I am still not sure if I wanna do that or not. What are sum recommondations …

How difficult is it to modify the rear floor of a '71 Z to accept compartment doors? By the way the Z I'm rebuilding will not be period or number correct. However, it will be modded with updates I feel are logical, smart, and add some level of performance following the KISS principal . . . of course.

This isnt mine, just need a picture for an example and easy description. http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=23386&cat=500&ppuser=11415 That filter there on top of the engine were the PCV valve is, what is that exactly called? Also, is there any advantage to replace the peice of tube that goes into the air box for the air intake with a filter like that? Also, if you do replace that piece of piping with a filter, do you need to plug the hole in the air box?
