Hey guys, as you might have read in my early post that I'm a newbie here! Anyway, I'd more than love to here some special driving techiniques that I'm sure you guys have for driving these cars. In case you don't already know, I've got a stock 1976 Datsun 280z.

Saw this car at the SEZ shootout and it was awesome. Belongs to 240Hoke on Hybridz.org and it is tastefully done mixing old and new. http://www.tunerzine.com/articles.php?id=188

I am looking to remove the A/C in my '71 240Z as I live in WA and just don't need it. What all is involved in this process? DO I need to take it to a certified A/C shop? Will I have to mess with any of the heating system to remove it? Anybody done it? If so, can you give me a brief explanation of steps to take and any pitfalls I may run into? Thanks again for any help, you guys are awesome!! Regards, Astrohog

My 280z doesn't have a radio in it right now, so I've actually never really bothered and hadn't really remembered seeing any speakers in it except for the back two. Are these the only two in the car, or where are the other(s)? These are the only two that I can find, the back two on either side of the car.

This lovely hole is on the floor on the passenger side of my s-30.It was actually man-made for a place to poke an A/C drain hose thru. I guess this person never heard of a hole saw or anything but a chisel :stupid:

Well, I finally decided to pull the smog pump and A/C from my '71. It went real smooth, and I sure like the amount of room it leaves to access the engine! I guess I should see cooler running temps with the "radiator" part gone. After the A/C was removed, I was able to fit the stock air filter! I took her for a nice drive through the twisties by my place and just had a blast!! She is running better than ever! I am having a blast going through one little bit at a time and each time having success! I am no mechanic, so I am always surprised when my weekend project goes well! I am getting ready to have a stereo head unit installed and then I think I am gonna store he…

I was wondering if someone could explain to me what the differences are between a Fairlady Z and a 240z. I could tell the difference between the two because I know that the Fairladys have the mears on the front fenders when the 240's have them on the doors but I'm sure that there is more to this than I know. Thanks, have always wondered what the differences were!

Does anyone know more about the history of these Bob Sharp cars? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Bob-Sharp-Racing-GT-33-HIGH-PERFORMANCE-RARE-SURVIVOR_W0QQitemZ250035161602QQihZ015QQcategoryZ6187QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Certainly an interesting vehicle, but get a load of those performance claims! I wonder how much HP this car really puts down? It looks like the stock Fuel Injection system! Also look at the absurd claim of how fast this car has gone: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1972-DATSUN-240-Z-PACE-CAR-Restoration-Project_W0QQitemZ130035812628QQihZ003QQcategoryZ6187QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I think the coolest car on ebay at this moment is our own members: http://cgi.ebay.com/e…

Hey, maybe someone can help with this.. I just bought a 240 Z in Florida, I live in Toronto, Ontario,Canada. I was going to originaly drive the Z for 1200 miles. Not really sure I want to do this when i don't know the cars history! With the weather changing and the limited time i have I might just transport it.. I looked up a few transport companys it seems that it would be a ton cheaper if i ship it to a address in the US,Buffalo,NY(BORDERS AND ALL).This is where i need some help. Do any one of you live in Buffalo or upper NY? That I can ship the car to your place and pick it up there? I live in Toronto and it would only be a few hour drive from there. I would be shippi…
